  1. Lane Centering/adaptive cruise & HANDS ON THE WHEEL!

I need to also add that I have the 360 Camera package as well. This might add to the 'better lane keeping/course correction' ability, but I'm just guessing. I did however use the dealership's 2020 Ford Fusion Hybrid with Adaptive Cruise but NO 360 cameras. This was a different experience for...
  2. Lane Centering/adaptive cruise & HANDS ON THE WHEEL!

The Intelligent Cruise seems to use the combination of current known speed limit + programmable tolerance as well as the speed at which the car in front of you is going (with sonar distance configuration). I haven't tested Intelligent Cruise with a merging vehicle. That's a lot of trust in a...
  3. Lane Centering/adaptive cruise & HANDS ON THE WHEEL!

I don't get any bouncing around when it is on Intelligent Cruise with CoPIlot Assist 360 on. There are three different cruise settings on my F150 XLT 302a. I think you need to switch it to 'Normal Cruise' with the lane control (its the button on the left side of the steering wheel) to get what...
  4. Anyone get Waze to work wirelessly?

on the 12" screen there seems to be no way of making the smaller dual pane to go away. But Google Maps app works in "full screen" on the bigger pane. I haven't tried Waze, but will this Monday on a longer trip.
  5. Customer-Installed Aftermarket Trailer Camera

I've been researching trying to be able to toggle cameras while in motion for F150 2021. I am optioned for the Camera 360 which also seems to come with the wiring for behind the trailer camera that can be bought/installed. Unfortunately, there isn't any FORSCAN optioning for this yet...still...
  6. What are the heavier options to avoid to increase payload?

I've been plagued with this research before......what can I carry vs. what can I tow. In the end, I shifted the weight of the bike/racks/outdoor equipment back to the hitch on the trailer as well as gear/luggage safely stowed in the trailer. Is 8K the dry weight of the trailer you are towing...
  7. Towing test with 2021 Powerboost F-150

Oh! Need to test this. :) Thanks!!
  8. Towing test with 2021 Powerboost F-150

    double honk is still there.
  9. Towing test with 2021 Powerboost F-150

    Oh....the PB has a bigger 30.6 gallon tank (non-PB stock is 26 gallon) and 20" tires + 18" spare.
  10. Ford tailgate step vs aftermarket bumper step?

When the tailgate is down, it will block this bump step.
  11. Towing test with 2021 Powerboost F-150

Don't forget, the Max Tow (non-PB engine) comes with an extended gas tank of 36 Gallons. The extra weight and gas might reduce the max payload as well.....might be negligible. Gallon of gas = 6lbs approx. Not sure how much the bigger gas tank weighs though.
  12. Calibrating compass for the 21

Wait...is the arrow just pointing north as the map turns on the screen or are you trying to describe something else? Are you in 2D or 3D mode?
  13. Interior work surface - Retrofit install later ?

Oh this thread could go terribly R-rated fast. Officer: "Excuse me...but I noticed some interesting content playing on your laptop screen at the previous stop light...." Me: "Uh..um...yes. I noticed a visual indicator and needed to perform some 'action' " Officer: "Why did you just not...
  14. Interior work surface - Retrofit install later ?

I have the whole console. If it were just an armrest swap out, then I'd consider if the price was right. It is going to be awhile before accessories go on sale since they are still building to catch-up to the demands due to COVID.
  15. Interior work surface - Retrofit install later ?

I personally don't use a laptop while driving. Plus I want my armrest back if I'm driving! A laptop that is not stored is a dangerous projectile in anything moving. DUUUUUCK!
  16. Interior work surface - Retrofit install later ?

Looking out for one as well. My XLT placed the gear shifter on the steering wheel column which now frees up the area to unfold that interior work surface. I'm a bit perplexed that the center console armrest itself can't be opened. I know there is a bin underneath at the seat level.
