  1. Power-Up OTA 6.8.0 - Smart Changes: Center Screen

I get that Ford wouldn’t want to publicize defects but they can’t even take a victory lap. People begged for a digital SOC indicator and the release notes for the updates that included it never mentioned it. They did brag about making the frunk alarm louder though.
  2. Update 6.8 update problem

Also read the thread on CSP 23B70 (https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/csp-23b70-certain-2022-23-f-150-lightnings-bms-sensor-replacement.17900/). If you haven’t had that done yet you should schedule it with your dealer (make sure they have the part in stock before you let them have...
  3. Update 6.8 update problem

Low Voltage Battery. It’s the small 12V battery behind the door at the back of the frunk, just like the battery on a gas vehicle.
  4. Power-Up 4.2.1.1 - Some Good Stuff Here

That message ā€œFord will make a new updateā€¦ā€ usually means that it has expired and you’ll have to wait until it is pushed to your truck again. @rugedraw can check your history to see what caused it to fail but itā€˜s about 90% going to be 12V battery related. Have you had the BMS replaced...
  5. Canada WTB - 240V Dongle for Lightning Mobile Charger (Canada)

I have no idea. I hadn’t seen that thread on the MachE forum but I had seen a video where someone swapped the 30A and 32A Ford versions between a MachE and a Lightning unit and they worked. I’m not sure how or why Webasto would have made units that would only work with specific dongles but I...
  6. Canada WTB - 240V Dongle for Lightning Mobile Charger (Canada)

You can buy the 32A version of the dongle from Webasto at the link below. The Lightning actually ships with a 30A version so that it can be plugged into the ProPower in the bed and used to charge another EV. The Lightning version is available from Ford with the Ford markup...
  7. Dealer service recommendations Durham NC

FYI, my service advisor at Capital is Phillip Bouche. He’s done all the CSPs on at least one Lightning. Here is his contact info, you usually get the best response by text.
  8. Power-Up: Smart Changes: Improvements to your vehicle diagnostics

Ahh, I missed that thread. Hard to track with no name. @TaxmanHog feel free to merge this into the correct thread.
  9. Power-Up: Smart Changes: Improvements to your vehicle diagnostics

When I opened FordPass this morning I saw a message about an update flash by and disappear. When I got in I checked SW updates and saw this. Last updates were 6.8 and DOR-2.
  10. Dealer service recommendations Durham NC

Capital Ford in Raleigh has been pretty good. University in Durham is also owned by Capital but I don’t think that means much. They all seem to be run independently. I’ve talked to others in the area that had good luck at Crossroads in Apex and Leith in Wendell. The key is to be prepared and...
  11. Ford to Offer Complimentary Tesla Supercharger Adapter to Eligible Lightning Owners (1/31/24 Update)

So it sounds like we agree, you won’t be able to start a charge with just the Tesla app. We are going to pay Ford and Ford will pay Tesla.
  12. Ford to Offer Complimentary Tesla Supercharger Adapter to Eligible Lightning Owners (1/31/24 Update)

I think it’s pretty clear you will have to use the FordPass app or the screen in the truck to initiate charging. Otherwise, once they open it to Ford any CCS car could get an adapter and open a Tesla account. Hopefully it will just work like it does for Teslas, just plug in and it charges.
  13. CSP-23B70 Certain 2022-23 F-150 Lightnings - BMS Sensor Replacement

Yes, the door will unlock if the fob is in my pocket and I touch the back of the handle. I tried to open the frunk with the fob in my pocket and it will not open. Also, the tailgate will open if the doors are locked and I press the button on the tailgate with the fob in my pocket. I only did the...
  14. CSP-23B70 Certain 2022-23 F-150 Lightnings - BMS Sensor Replacement

It should but it does not. I have an SR Lariat w/o BlueCruise and my frunk button does not work if the doors are locked. I just tried it with the fob in my pocket. I was curious if the problem was that there isn’t a sensor at the front of the truck so I tried it again with the fob by the door...
  15. Power-Up OTA 6.5.0 - Minor Adj {Heated wheel & Dep Times}

Have you had the BMS sensor replaced (CSP23B70)? Mine struggled to complete updates but since I got the new sensor I’ve had 2 updates complete on the first try. I’ve never had an update complete without multiple tries and I had one last year that failed 14 times before it completely bricked the...
  16. 1st use of Tesla hotel charger

The charger communicates with the truck to tell it the maximum current available. The truck determines how much it actually takes so there is no danger of it taking too much current.
  17. Terrific service at Leith ford of Wendell, NC!

I’ve had mostly good experiences with Capital in Raleigh and I’ve heard postitive comments from others about Crossroads in Apex. After reading a lot of the dealer horror stories on here we’re lucky to live where we have multiple good options.
  18. AKSESROYAL Tesla to J1772 Adapter Reviews?

The adapters have no way to communicate with either side. The most they can do is have a thermistor that will disconnect the pilot signal if it gets too hot.
  19. Ford to Offer Complimentary Tesla Supercharger Adapter to Eligible Lightning Owners (1/31/24 Update)

See post 96 in this thread. There are a couple of others as well. Basically, the V2s don’t speak CCS.
