The other charging service providers and manufacturers have had the same amount of time, the same pool of engineering talent, and the same real estate availability as Tesla for the last decade. They could have been installing charging infrastructure that isn't broken all along and they didn't...
I think the problem with this today is that information is not pushed from the truck and instantly updated in the servers Tesla does. In other words, the problem is not the app. The app shows what Ford's servers know immediately. They would need to change how the truck pushes status, and what...
Is there anything he said that was not true?? His entire video was factual and citing sources involved or affected. The real and potential impacts he talked about are completely legitimate. What do you want him to do? Say nothing and ignore the topic until he can schedule an interview with Elon??
I saw a reddit post suggesting the ADAS / Blue Cruise performance was remarkably improved with all the recent FDRS applied. Have you used any of those functions and noticed a difference?
I was about to go buy a Windows laptop since my only laptop is 10yrs old and running Linux. Need it for a...
I think there's some level of that, but not sure how much. I don't believe there is a scenario where pressure from your foot would not translate to pressure in the pipe. And I believe it is failsafe to direct cylinder pressure?
That may also be the hazard lights coming on automatically from the initial collision. I suspect the driver's foot is on the accelerator, or they were using ACC to be lazy in line, or both.
Also remember it is called collision avoidance, not collision impossible. It is certainly possible to simply Leroy Jenkins into whatever situation you want even with the safety systems enabled.
You were stepping on both.
The brake pedal pushes on a physical cylinder that compresses brake fluid into the brake cylinders of each wheel, compressing the brake pads against the disks on each wheel. No different than the brakes of any car built in the last 40 years. It is physically...
I don't see why not if you can find a way to safely secure it in place and it is the same nominal voltage and chemistry. The BMS I would think is reading and managing voltage and current as needed for a 12v lead acid battery. The actual total capacity of the battery should not matter. I don't...
Update: Ford support on this is horrible. The cannot get the problem though their heads. Wifi doesn't work, bluetooth doesn't work, and factory reset doesn't work. Turning it off for hours doesn't fix it. Letting it sit for 24hrs doesn't magically fix it. Nothing fixes it. All the...
Yeah welcome to the club. Been playing the useless troubleshooting games with Ford customer service. Constantly having me do everything I've already done 5 times that will never work. Factory reset doesn't work. It's corrupted. Having me turn it off and wait 2hrs again isn't going to change...
There is no way to actually control how much current flows on each conductor. You've doubled the terminations. Any issue can rapidly and drastically overload other leads.
Figures. All Android here. That would be cool. I don't like that turning on a lightbulb would have to go through the internet, but honestly would be better than the horrific Sync touchscreen.
