  1. Anyone with MAX TOW package ever exceed the limit?

Only if you have the bed scales
  2. What are you getting mile per kWh while towing?

I'd hit the Hyundai dealership in Salisbury
  3. What are you getting mile per kWh while towing?

I'm going to rewind a bit here. Have you tried setting the route in ABRP and then setting the reference consumption to roughly double? Does it suggest a route? Looking at the map in plugshare, I can't imagine that there's not a route that will allow you to make it, yes you may have to travel...
  4. What are you getting mile per kWh while towing?

The boat will fare better than a camper but possibly not by much. Keeping your speed under 65 will help. With the sr battery, 100 miles is probably not realistic. Is the 115 miles round trip or one way? If it's round trip, are there any campsites that have a 50amp RV hookups? You could charge...
  5. Half a yard 80/20 topsoil

    No no, the OP.
  6. Half a yard 80/20 topsoil

Hold on, what color is your truck? And why wasn't it available on the Pro when I ordered?
  7. Will Max Tow Package on Lightning reduce range when NOT towing?

I had seen the information from the post above and is why I had said with the upgraded pro power. However, the current website for intelligent home backup doesn't say anything about that being necessary. https://www.ford.com/trucks/f150/f150-lightning/features/intelligent-backup-power/
  8. Max tow package on Lightning - how much can I tow without it?

7300 dry weight usually doesn't even include all of the options included in the trailer or things like the battery and propane tanks. Once loaded with gear, water, and everything else, that 7300 is probably going to be very close to 7500 if not over. Also remember that you need to include any...
  9. Hoovie Fails at Owning a Truck

I've never heard of them before this so I have no intention of doing so. ?
  10. Hoovie Fails at Owning a Truck

Thanks for letting me know I shouldn't waste my time watching this.
  11. First test ride towing our travel trailer (1.0 mi/kWh on 40-70 MPH loop)

You also have to take into account that 200kwh of batteries is extremely heavy. You need to have a stronger frame, larger axles and brakes, beefier suspension components and so on. The hummer EV weighs some 9000 lbs and essentially an HD truck underneath. Also Ford claims the $6-8k price...
  12. First test ride towing our travel trailer (1.0 mi/kWh on 40-70 MPH loop)

Exactly. They can only make about 10% of the volume that they can the ice version and they'll sell all of those. They don't really need it to meet the needs of every use case right now. I agree that in the short term, vehicle prices are only going to increase, however in the long term, EV prices...
  13. First test ride towing our travel trailer (1.0 mi/kWh on 40-70 MPH loop)

Personally, I don't think the cybertruck will get produced in it's current form at all. I don't see them being able to manufacture those body panels in any sort of volume. But that's a whole other conversation.
  14. First test ride towing our travel trailer (1.0 mi/kWh on 40-70 MPH loop)

I'm sure I'll get blasted, but I don't believe the cybertruck will ever get produced in it's current form for under $100k. Especially if they are going to give it 500 miles of range.
  15. Anyone tow an Airstream basecamp yet?

What is the overall height and width compared to a traditional style airstream? I know there's at least a few people out there that have towed airstream trailers. If the height and width are less on the Basecamp, then I would expect slightly better economy. If it is just as tall and wide as a...
  16. Lightning Towing Stats with my 23FB Airstream Trailer

Remember, the 30amp RV outlet is still only 110v. If you can get a campsite with a 50 amp (220v) you'll be better off. I think someone on here did the calculations and it will take something like 36 hours to charge fully on a 30 amp 110v
  17. Lightning Towing Stats with my 23FB Airstream Trailer

Exactly, why lug around way more battery then you need 99% of the time. That's just using more raw materials then needed.
  18. Lightning Towing Stats with my 23FB Airstream Trailer

Doubtful, I have no idea when I'm going to actually get one and it may end up having a Chevy badge depending on how they price their trims
  19. Lightning Towing Stats with my 23FB Airstream Trailer

Plenty of people have horses or livestock that they aren't going to trailer hundreds of miles. More relevant scenarios? large boat to a lake close to my house. Camper to one of the half dozen or more lakes within 50 miles. Car trailer to the racetrack close to home Plenty of businesses have...
