  1. Hacking the Pedistrian Warning System Sounds

Just checked the data sheet, it's possible the chip is write protected. Depending on if it's utilized and what features Ford used would determine if the chip is writeable. A complete data dump may determine if protection is enabled, and even if so, applying 3.3v to pin 3 may disable that...
  2. Hacking the Pedistrian Warning System Sounds

I just checked the flashrom source code, it doesn't appear to natively support the IS25LP032, it does support the IS25LP series though. If you get that far and encounter an issue related to that, I can help make the changes to add support assuming I can find the datasheet for it. Edit: This...
  3. Interior Lights ON Switch?

I don't remember which one, but the overhead console button controlled that in mine.
  4. Hacking the Pedistrian Warning System Sounds

It should be a relatively straightforward process, but if anyone is willing to do it with their own hardware I'm willing to offer what help I can. I haven't flashed any modules in this manner in over 20 years. I could probably admit to why I flashed chips now, statue of limitations and all...
  5. F150 Lightning FORScan thread - Version 2

I successfully enabled glare free, but in controls sometimes it shows as enabled, sometimes disabled. Attempting to change it makes the switch flip back to whatever state it was previously in. I'll get around to randomly tinkering with it but I figure I should ask here first. Any insight?
  6. Likin my Lightning... Electrify classic car?

Definitely doable and easier than you'd think, RWD is likely to be the easiest and most cost efficient by far though. Weight and appearance (hiding the batteries) would be my biggest considerations. Like was mentioned, a ute would be my prime candidate.
  7. Hacking the Pedistrian Warning System Sounds

A raspberry pi could do it, as would a dedicated SPI flash programmer, possibly an arduino using 3.3v logic. Since it's running a relatively sophisticated processor for an arguably dumb device, there is a small chance the byte header OP mentioned, or elsewhere contains a checksum to prevent...
  8. My first Error Code

Enclosed space, little to no ventilation. Think Hindenburg. I myself am dubious, even after looking up how much hydrogen *could* be released, I'm still skeptical, but I also understand the abundance of caution. It's not like the frunk is hermetically sealed, hydrogen is light, opening the...
  9. F150 Lightning FORScan thread - Version 2

Mostly I need to know if it's Arm or AMD/Intel. AMD/Intel/x86 - with all of the problems you've encountered, best I can say is uninstall and then go its file folder and remove manually any remaining files. Reinstall it to a completely different location. Arm - Go to properties, compatibility...
  10. Michelin X-Ice 275/60/20 - 2 winter seasons.

I just noticed in the pic, there is also the beginnings of dry rot, so if you go through with it, count on 1 season.
  11. Michelin X-Ice 275/60/20 - 2 winter seasons.

I don't know canadian currency sizes, or even what the value of that particular coin is lol But judging very roughly by this pic, I'd estimate 1 season for sure, possibly 2. Would mostly depend on how you drive and your alignment. Judging by the rest of the tread, I would guess he ran them...
  12. Michelin X-Ice 275/60/20 - 2 winter seasons.

Ask him to measure the tread depth, or at the very least stick a coin in with a pic and you can estimate it.
  13. Michelin X-Ice 275/60/20 - 2 winter seasons.

I'm not one to put used tires on any vehicle but that being said, I'd measure remaining tread, adjust vs retail, and subtract a hundred or two for shelf life. The biggest factor is likely to be how used they were outside of winter conditions. Tends to eat tread.
  14. Interior Lights ON Switch?

Mine is by the glasses holder at the top, and yes, the lighting is terrible even with them all on.
  15. Interesting Article on China's EVs

So the way I see it, it's a multifaceted issue. 1) Most manufacturers, especially those outside of China, treat features as something to be monetized separately. If there isn't money to be made, they aren't interested. 2) On the global stage Chinese manufacturing has a reputation for being...
  16. Auto highbeams not working

DNS registration looks fine Traceroute looks fine It's an offshoot of revparts.net if you want to research further. Oops forgot to hit reply :x Referencing @Firebelly question.
  17. Comma AI self driver assistant

AFAIK, @Ajzride already posted it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6297226
  18. Wireless app projection?

I mean, technically speaking, the car projection display is almost certainly a video in the vein of VNC, but anyway, reasonably sure that you were talking about Netflix and the like, youtube is available natively on Sync, but others seem to be locked without one of those carplay/AA dongles...
  19. F150 Lightning FORScan thread - Version 2

What device are you running forscan on, and are you absolutely sure the download source is legit and that you haven't got the DNS requests hijacked, all of the problems encountered makes my spidey senses tingle
  20. F150 Lightning FORScan thread - Version 2

I was all ready to manually save everything until I realized the program A) doesn't remember the last saved folder and B) there seemed to be a bunch of 'sub'modules, at that point I said fk it... I'll just do it as I need. Since if I remember correctly you quarantined or removed what the...
