Hey you guys are jumping to conclusions (and I'm only on page 29 so more jumping to read)
You don't have all the details about the 'generator', but I have some inside information from Not AI ... they will be installing one of these generators on each of the 4 tires:
Very quiet. Doesn't take...
@Farmford42 I was reading your post in another thread, noticed that your signature line says you had a 1969 Bronco with 3 on the tree ... reminds me of my first car ... 1967 Saab, it was a 2-cycle 3-cylinder front wheel drive engine. It has a "4 on the tree" š , regular "H" 4-speed, pull the...
Washington State, $225 per year for the Lightning, and $75 for a PIH with 10kWh capacity. That one seems out of line since we use gas 80% of the miles.
Very impressive all of you! I'm new to the EV market (purchased my '23 Lariat ER in June of 2024). And I love it.
My first car was a 1967 Saab I got in '76, 3-cylendar, 2-cycle, eventually after seizing up the 2nd crankshaft (oil injector pump conked out) I moved up to a new Honda. Long...
I agree that 300+ miles is the minimum. I looked at the Lightning back when SR was the standard and ER was way too expensive. It doesn't work for me.
I agree that on a regular basis you don't use anywhere near 200 miles in a day. But I heard back then (and have witnessed now) that you lose...
Sounds like the best option in the US is to put the NACS plug in the 'right hand charger door' location! Then we can charge with the FCSP in the garage, and at a Tesla Destination or Fast charger on the road! How much will that cost?
Of course we would need some software updates to recognize...
I see it in Apple, but I don't see a filter for those that don't allow non-Tesla. It's showing my nearby Fred Meyer which I know from other searches only allows Tesla vehicles.
And I've seen somewhere that a thread showed adding your vehicle to your Apple Maps profile but for the life of me...
Heading to Sun Peaks this ski season, ABRP tells me to charge at 2 Tesla stations on the way up, and 2 on the way back (Snohomish, WA). From what I've read I should install the Tesla App and set up a membership to cover those charges (~200kWh).
Any other suggestions? Seems like the...
I rarely 'public' charge, but I was checking out the phone App (iPhone) this morning since I had heard there were enhancements. There is a filter for 'pull through' and taller spaces.
The Tesla places along the long route I often take are not available to us. Is that some technical limitation...
my other vehicle is a PIH, so it just has the J1772 pins. Looks like the only way to use my FCSP would be to get this Thunderstorm Lite and the plug a NACS to J1772 (like one for a Tesla Destination Charger) onto that?
I have learned to do ABC, and I keep it at 80% summer and 90% winter ... but I thought that there was some benefit (similar to the benefit of charging to 100% ~once a month) to running the battery to it's low end occasionally.
We do run it below 50% at least once a month, more during ski...
I got one of those flip out 'extenders'. I think I've only used it once for an extended bed, but it gives me about a 2' space to put things that won't end up sliding to the cab. It's easy to remove, and I can even stick it at the front or back under the tonneau if I need the entire bed free.
I paid $39.99 at my dealer. I'm happy to pay that for them to do the once-over. Glad to see they didn't check the box that says 'oil level' ;) Monday I get to take the BMW in which will be $600 probably!
We regularly take a trip over the mountains, and I try to charge to 100% before we leave. For safety and to exercise the top end of the battery. I recently saw a comment in a thread (canāt find it or I would reply there) about the time it takes for the last few %. So I thought I would watch...
I canāt open the frunk when itās in the garage. (Too close to the wall in front). So getting to the 12v is problematic.
We will be leaving for 30 days, Iām thinking just charge to 50%, set the charge level on the truck to 50% and leave plugged in to the FCSP. If the 12v gets low???
Or ask my...
It must feel a 'pull' (turn) to know you are there. I just slightly turn the wheel left or right every 15 seconds. I've heard that others put a 1# weight on one side of the wheel and it 'feels' them there.
