I have avoided the temptation to 'upgrade' to the Diehard H3, which supposedly has a slightly greater Ah rating, simply because the BMS settings in the truck would likely routinely undercharge it. There are FORScan settings available for those who wish to 'tweak' their charging threshold etc. in...
There are many posts about this 12V AGM just quitting abruptly with seemingly no warning (there may have been signs, but the owners may not have recognized what was happening meant the battery was going out).
If you're still under warranty, they can test and replace your battery for free...
His '24 Flash should already have the later version of the BMS module.
I would go out and do the BMS Learned Values Reset dance every six months though...you're spot on there....
@Ford Motor Company ...you see what happens when all the OTAs stop and people can't get their vehicles fixed? The bickering starts on the forums...and then there's flame wars and it's all because you stopped sending out OTAs....I think.
OBCC module updates are released to address issues with DC fast chargers. It's possible that this truck needs somebody to check and update the OBCC module (if there's an update available) as part of the diagnostic steps to determining corrective action.
A full set of powertrain updates takes 25-30 minutes on a Lightning (PCM, ABS, BECM, SOBDM, SOBDMB, SOBDMC, GFM2). The IPMA takes the longest and can be 2.5 to 3 hrs. The CMR can take about an hour. The USB-updateable GWM, APIM, and TCU take about 40 to 45 minutes to step through the whole...
If I look up your VIN using FDRS it constitutes 'remote diagnostics', which is against the user agreement, and my annual subscription would get blocked (permanently this time, I've been told).
That's exactly the same one I got, the -LE, and it works perfectly. I love the Bronco Sport rubberized ring and the little blue ambient light at night.
No error codes or DTCs ever from day one.
In that case just leave it plugged in to the level 1 charger the whole time you're away. The truck will top up the LVB when it needs to. Pretty sure that's what the owner's manual says you're supposed to do in the winter anyway, regardless of whether you'll be away for a while or not. It...
REASON FOR THIS PROGRAM: On all of the affected vehicles, a damaged cell may be present within the High Voltage (HV) battery. This may result in Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) setting and the wrench light illuminating on the vehicle’s dashboard. In some cases, a “Stop Safely Now” message may...
I've removed my frunk tub three times now for various reasons and have cleaned out under there with shop air each time. It does get nasty. Because of where I live I'm also looking out for mouse nests and stuff that squirrels may have deposited. Also, a lot of people overlook the lower intake for...
As with others, I've had them last about two years before they start going into the constant 'overheat>cooldown>charge for a few minutes>overheat' cycle loop that means it's nearing it's end of life...I've gone through at least three of these portable chargers.
Truthfully, mine was going out...
Here's the direct link to download.
Remember, (especially if it's been a while since you've used FDRS) the program is now subscription only. If you do still have a 20 character license code and it hasn't been converted yet to a "subscription login" type, you'll need to contact the helpdesk to...
