I have talked to Ford, and they have confirmed I should receive OTAs and even given me the version of Sync I should be on: 24127 with OTA 10.1.0
But they can’t explain why I don’t get updates. How do I convince them to test the LKJ strategy for the gateway?
In the Sync settings, is the Software Updates menu always visible? Or only when an update is available? I can’t find it in my settings, below connectivity.
I tried forcing the truck to use my DNS-server. That works for most addresses, but not for
www.cloud-sync.ford.com. It only tries to resolve that directly with 1.1.1.1. So I had to open port 53 for the truck specifically. Hardcoding it this way will be a problem if 1.1.1.1 dies one day.
