Nah I'm with you. I think leveled trucks look weird unless they're also lowered.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the rake also provided efficiency gains too (for both ICE and EV). Thought I read that it's a slightly smaller cross section when unloaded.
There's been plenty of threads on here that seem to indicate the heat pump is underwhelming both in energy savings and performance. But that could just be outliers.
Going from a 2025 MY you'll lose out on the higher AC charging rate of your MY 2023. Your current truck should be able to charge...
There was a TSB put out awhile back to address this: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/tsb-25-2048-25-2105-sync-4-4a-general-system-performance-stability-and-intermittent-system-reboot-etc-post-167-updated.25115/
Though it you've been getting regular OTA updates for your truck it...
Dunno how much it'll matter, but I like voicing my opinion as much as the next person:
I'm definitely not using any AI stuff. Sorry, Ford. But that's the case personally too (for the most part). I use it at work because I'm directed to do so but it's a fundamentally flawed product. I'd rather...
If a range extender helps people make the switch to BEVs long term I think it's absolutely the right decision. Let 'em get used to running on the battery only and see how much they can save.
Personally, I have no use for a generator on the truck. Just another thing to fail. Fast chargers are...
Thanks all. I ended up with the Bosch icons at my local autozone -- good excuse to pick up some donuts at the local bakery too. Wound up getting two 24A's since they didn't have the 22B's in stock. Quick, 5 minute install since the F150 uses those J hooks.
My personal iron triangle on this is fast (as in easy to install*) and good performance and quality. I don't need them to be cheap. What are you guys running?
Edit - Forgot to mention I live in the mid Atlantic so I deal with all manner of weather. Sleet/rain/hail/snow/etc.
*I haven't...
Nice! I like that this is an option now. $800 does seem like a lot though compared to the ~$150 or so for the rotary dial. And both of these would involve removing the console shifter I imagine so it's not like you're saving any steps.
Those conversations are out there lol. There's been no official word from Ford as to why, but the popular user explanations are: safety reasons; to reduce calls to tech support saying their truck is losing more range with it on; to piss us off.
Ideally, Ford would just inform the user when...
From the complaints I've seen of PPO while truck is off -- mainly needing to have a constant load >60W applied otherwise it shuts off -- it really isn't necessary. Turn off the main screen, turn off HVAC/radio, etc: You've got the same thing but without the 60W requirement.
