I agree. I'm 76 and expect my 2022 platinum to at least carry me through the 8 year warranty. That will put me at 80 years old. At that age I'm hoping I won't need another new truck.
I'll have to check that out. I do wish they would just let me start Pro power without starting the truck. I guess the new ones don't require you to start the truck to run pro power.
Mine is a 2022. I haven’t tried to power my home for awhile but I'd have to start my truck , to get the screen to appear then start Pro power then go to vehicle and turn off the shutdown timer.
Sounds very similar to what I have except I havecloer to 55 kwh lithium batteries and only 13 kw of solar power. But a much lower daily consumption of < 20kwh. I do wish ford would come out with a software update for my 2022 so I didn't have to run my truck to use the Pro power and not have to...
That's exactly what I do. I used to use my excess solar energy to power an electric hot water heater that I installed prior to my natural gas water heater. Now I use the extra energy to charge my lightning.
I just plug my home into a generator receptical and into the 7200 watt 240 volt bed receptical. Flip a manual transfer switch and I'm running off my truck . Granted i only have 7200 watts available to me but it powers my deep well pump just fine , all my lights fans , tvs, computers and limited...
My 2022 platinum heat has worked great for me. Of course I am pretty happy with just the seats and steering wheel after I've set my departure which preheats my cab using the grid. Once I'm on the road I normally turn off cabin heat unless it is super cold.
Yes in the winter you definitely need it plugged in prior to departure and precondition the battery and preheat the cabin while on the charger. At departure I lower my cabin temp and turn on my seat heter and steering wheel.
It's actually no difference from the mpg ratings they put on ice vehicles. We can never seem to get the rated mpg. I've found my lightning to be complte opposite of all ICE trucks that I've owned, achieving my best mpk while driving in town and the worst mpk on the highway. Which is great for...
I didn't notice the date on his post since it only recently appeared in my email I assumed it was recent.
I wish the forum wouldn't send out ancient posts.
Maybe a little JB weld around the sensor to hold it in place. Hindsight of course but when I'm already stopped and need to reach into the back seat. Into PARK it goes.
I leave my one pedal on in the winter too but could be dangerous if you don't leave extra room between vehicle and you are forced to let up on the accelerator very quickly. I've gotten so used to it that I hate to turn it off. I just slow way down, leave extra space between cars and release my...
I use my one pedal all the time. Really never noticed a difference in the winter but Ido exercise extra differencebetweencars so Idon'thave to releasetheacceleratorto fast which couldprobablycause a problemif the regenerativebrakingreacted too aggressively. But I don't use my cruise control in...
