For those of you that say it’s easy to do if you have two fobs…. Can someone explain how?
Based on these prices, I might just buy an extra and program it just in case…
Any updates Heffneil?
This thread has become my daily entertainment / fascination. It’s now part of my routine until it’s completely resolved. Get coffee, check my email, read the news, check in on Heffneil to see the latest on his truck.
Thanks for all the feedback everyone! Cabin temperature isn’t an issue for me when I charge overnight as it’s parked in my heated garage that never gets below about 60F.
It sounds like I’ll just charge every 3-5 days or when it’s at about 30% state of charge on my Level 2, 48A charger.
Does it matter how often I charge to 85% or 90%? For example, I drive not more than 20-30 miles each week day. If I’m at 85% on Monday morning, then at 75% Mon evening, should I charge back up to 85% each night? Or charge to 85% Sunday night and let it get down to maybe 20% or so by Friday...
Can anyone summarize or provide a link that summarizes the Mach E HVBJB issue? I know nothing about it and my searching only returns results of Mach E owners getting it resolved.

I have a dumb question about preconditioning the batteries. I don’t have my Lightning yet, so maybe these questions have obvious answers.
I will keep my Lightning in a heated garage overnight. The temp stays around 55-60 degrees F. Is there any benefit to preconditioning at that temp? I then...
I don’t think Ford ever mentioned anything about the heated steering wheel delete. The first time I knew it was deleted on mine was when I was first able to see the window sticker. I’m scheduled for production next week; I hope to join you all with a Lightning in the garage soon.
I’d really like to know what others say about this too. I’m worried my dealership will tell me it will be sold as new and I file for the full $7500 tax credit and find out months later when the IRS audits me that it wasn’t eligible.
I cannot recommend against this enough. Yeah, you lose the ability to flip up the 2 seater. But the inconvenience of walking around the truck EVERY time you need to put the baby in or take him/her out of the truck would be really annoying. You want the baby on the driver’s side for convenience...
