I had this happen the first time it tried to install 10.3.0.
Plugged it into the charger and then the update succeeded - seems like actively charging helps keep the 12v topped up better.
Just got 10.1.0 for my '22 Lariat ER.
It's a good update. Been a long time since I received a meaningful update.
The Google maps features are a welcome improvement. Now shows estimated battery level at arrival and it adds stops at EV chargers along the route if needed. It doesn't appear to...
Sounds like a great OTA.
Hope this actually rolls out.
We've become skeptical because there have been a lot of feature announcements without actual rollout (for example, Blue Cruise 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5).
It's working on Android too.
You need Carscanner installed on your phone, then look for the Carscanner app in your list of Android apps on your truck's screen.
All the above mentioned bluetooth obd readers should work.
I'm using this one...
If you've already tried disconnecting and reconnecting the 12V battery and still seeing problems, then it sounds like it's time for a dealer visit to correct it.
The displays are pretty vital for operating the truck, so I'm sure they'll prioritize fixing yours.
Oddly enough, my dashboard screen went totally dark today. The big center console screen was still working in my case.
I tried a soft reset (hold down left and right outer buttons on steering wheel) and it didn't help.
Tried turning off the truck and restart, also no good.
So I opened the...
@GDN, thank you!
You explained it really well. Now I have a better understanding of the quirks behind Ford's software update process.
Ford really needs to prioritize following good standards for software development (and UX/UI design) if they want to compete with Tesla and Rivian.
I think I found out what this update does.
- My PAAK stopped working.
- User profiles were turned off, so it defaulted to having One Pedal drive OFF - I was surprised by the truck moving when I let off the brake.
Nice work!
@Farmford42
Have you applied any configuration changes recently thru FORSCAN?
I know there was a FORSCAN code on the Mach-E forums to remove the power down timer.
I was actually considering it, since I'm frequently in the truck "idling" and find that timer annoying.
I could be imagining things, but since this update my music sounds better. Especially the bass response. BTW, I'm using Tidal to stream my music.
If you have the update but haven't applied it yet, you might want to listen to your favourite music before and after the update to see if you notice...
The idea was good, how they chose to implement it was terrible.
Why do I need to be alerted if the door is unlocked with a valid key? I just want to be alerted about actual security problems.
Hope they come up with a better implementation in the future. Preferably something like Tesla's or...
I wish. That bleeping Frunk drives me nuts. Would love to silence that speaker.
I don't see any obvious changes. Sounds like the distance to empty improvement might help the accuracy of the guess-o-meter maybe?
I was waitlisted for the Ford Early Access Program, and got a notification this morning that I've been added.
A few hours later I received Power-Up 3.5.5.
Before I manually initiated the update, it warned me that I would have to leave the truck turned off for up to 25 minutes. The update only...
Think you might be on to something. I have poor AT&T LTE coverage at my place. Wasn't getting any new updates even with strong WiFi coverage - been checking often the last couple of days. Took a drive today and stopped at a shopping mall for about an hour - happened to notice the truck was...
Interesting. I just had this happen to me this morning - when I got into the truck the seat heater was on, but the steering wheel was cold to the touch. The steering wheel icon on the console showed it was turned on, but the steering wheel never warmed up. Turning off/on the heated steering made...
