That sucks you've hit the problem-lottery on your Lightning - I hope Ford is taking care of you for the expenses you had on your trip.
Rivian is an awesome vehicle and I love their software and overall platform. The Gen2 vehicles are MUCH better than the Gen1 in terms of reliability and initial...
Just FYI - Three on the tree is something different. Three on the tree is an H pattern manual transmission (with a clutch) mounted on the column (three forward gears + reverse). Technically a column shifter but not the same as PRNDL automatic column shift.
You are kidding right? Have a look at the Rivian forum and see the mess of problems their vehicles have... and persistent problems that have not been resolved now for years. Repeat failures, design flaws, basic service items that require repeat visits, service damaging vehicles and playing...
Several have said, estimated range is not an indicator of battery health. It’s guessing your range based on recent driving history, temperature accessory usage and so on. Best to ignore it and just use state of charge like a gas gauge in an ice car.
To determine your actual battery, stay of...
I'm guessing you may be a troll based on your post but I'll share some insight just in case you are genuine.
1) Just curious why you charge to 100 every day when the manual recommends only charge to 80%? Unless you are going on a long trip and need the extra range, charging to 100% is not...
If you are in the truck and want to keep the AC on just leave the truck ON, you can get out and lock the door to keep the truck cool while running errands or whatever. If there is no key detected the truck won't shift out of Park even if it's turned on. The vehicle will turn off after 30 min...
Hi mate, welcome.
Congrats on the Yank-Tank, I never understood why more full size Utes were not sold in Aus, it's fully set up for it. Heaps cool mate that you got this one! A mate of mine has been waiting for years to get an ICE Tundra...let alone an EV truck.
I've seen where Ford is...
Automatic ICE cars have the same play in the parking pawl. If you are on a slight incline and let off the brake the car will roll back or forward a couple inches. This is by design - there needs to be some play in the pawl and gear teeth otherwise it won’t disengage easily. The truck will...
why would your insurance be involved at all? I wouldn’t even call them.
The dealer damaged the truck so you get to choose where it is repaired. End of story. If they disagree then get a lawyer.
I would just ask for a new truck. This is a dealership so they can facilitate that for no effort on...
never done it myself, another forum member shared that tip with me actually
I assumed since the screen stays on when the truck is on that it would stay on the sketch pad. Now I need to test ?
Teslas approach is Modes for everything.
Fords approach is Truck On Truck Off.
Remote start can be set up to put climate on Auto (heats if cold, cools if hot) or to use last climate setting. Seats will heat or cool if equipped automatically
if you are out running errands and want to “Keep...
Yeah I think ford engineers set the truck up to enable the parking brake when it’s needed. The pawl is burly so I’m not worried about it carrying weight.
It’s an estimated remaining range. It’s not an indicator of battery health or capacity.
If it were me I would reset the range calculation manually in the menu and keep driving. I mostly ignore range and use SoC like a gas gauge.
