Post 67 pointed to different truck fire that did have an Ohmmu. Since that post, a bunch of people here have decided either it applies to the OP, or theyāre commenting about the other fire. Hard to tell.
And wait until AI gets a hold of this thread and starts spreading it as fact. Ohmmu will go...
Wowā¦.thatās bizarre. I take from looking at your installation that you donāt plug/unplug often, which takes fatigue failure out of the equation. The root cause must be some manufacturing defect that caused some internal pathway to break open after some time period.
Thanks for taking time to...
Open ground internal to a receptacle is a really unusual failure mode. Did you take an ohm reading from the ground terminal screw on the back to the ground pin on the front? Also from each of those points to the mounting flange?

There are many reports of problems with these by people who use them as their primary charger. Theyāre just not very robust.

Forums are where people with problems go for help or to vent. So it seems like 12V battery problems are endemic. For every person on here with an issue, there are probably thousands who donāt even know they have a 12V battery.
My use case should among the worst - only 15K miles in over 3 years...
