@Ajzride , thanks for helping all of us get up and running. I finally received my comma 4 today and using your posts was able to get bluePilot 6.0 beta downloaded and my truck force recognized thru sunnypilot. Moving forward will the comma update to the latest version of BluePilot automatically...
It turned out great. If you lay the painters tape just right for the mock up, you don't have to remove the red film from the tape.
I also added a speed nut to replace the push tab on the lower rear of the rear flare. Much more secure.
I removed the flares and added a strip of .5 inch double sided clear automotive 3m tape where they touch the fenders. Re installed. Did a line of paint tape before removal so I knew where to lay the 3m tape. Hopefully this keeps damage at bay.
Unfortunately I don't think these flares will fit with the mud flaps. They curve under the bed where the mad flaps are. I think you would have to do some heavy trimming on the flares to make it work.
Good to know! I'll remove them and put some ppf where they touch and re install.
Just did some googling and most fender flares have this issue, even ones that come stock. Just saw a video, a guy removed factory flares from a tundra and they had nearly eaten thru the metal!
Possibly, you have to remove the black plastic trim piece on the lower front side of the rear wheel well. On the rear part of the wheel well I used the lower inner most hole, removed the push tab, pushed the flare in and up and pushed the tab back in. You don't remove the plastic trim piece in...
Finally got around to installing these this weekend. I couldn't find anyone who had mounted a set, so it was a roll of the dice. These are for the ice trucks. In my research there are no flares available in the us market for the lightning. These are the sport flares by Rough Country, available...
Not hard just tedious and time consuming. Once you do one seat the process gets easier. You have to remove the seats from the truck. I did mine one at a time over a span of days. There's videos on you tube as well. You don't need special tools. The covers have zippers on the back. Once you unzip...
Yes they are non lightning oem covers on my oem pro lightning seats. Lots of people have swapped for the non lightning leather Lariat seat covers as well. I think as long as your not trying to put platinum covers or raptor covers on they should fit. The raptor trucks have additional bolstering.
I found some ICE oem take off Tremor seat covers on Ebay, just finnished the install. I also have a take off steering wheel coming and the center console cover. In the meantime heres the seats.
Does anyone know if there's a way to change the small square DRL from white to amber on the lightning? I think they double as the amber turn signal so the color is there I believe.
