I finally seem to be somewhere close to up to date. APIM and TCU modules updated at the dealer yesterday. Though it does not show on repair sheet, Power-Up was also updated to 6.2.0, which was not there before. Hoping this all breaks my long-standing OTA issues and I start getting other updates...
I found out about this one this morning when I dropped my truck off for parking CSP. They had added it to my service order. Primarily here due to not knowingly receiving any OTA updates since buying the truck a year ago July. However service tech says I did get one earlier this month. Never saw...
I've been monitoring my LVB charge daily for a week now. I've been trying every suggested trick to get it to 100% SOC, hoping that will help me finally get an OTA update after over a year. I did get the update for "improved communications" a few weeks ago, and about a week ago I got the...
Even Ford can't seem to figure out what to recommend. From their website,
If you click on "Battery Life Tips and Tricks", it takes you to a page where that topic is nowhere to be found. If you search their site for the topic, you get this,
Selecting either of the first 2 topics takes you...
I discovered something this morning. If I select the "This Trip" screen, it stays through a power cycle, not reverting to the Calm Screen. So it appears that the bug (I believe it is) is related to either the Driver Assistance screen or some combination of the screens I've selected to display...
FWIW, I'm one of many who have never received an OTA update. I just had the BMS module replaced last Wednesday. Dealer did some additional FDRS updates that are supposed to update the Gateway module and resolve my OTA issues. They said I should now start getting them "soon". We'll see...
My truck went into hibernation about the time that this thread started. Now that it's awakened from it's sleep, I'm seeing the same problem. Before hibernation, I could set it to the "Driver Assistance" screen and it would stay there. Now every time I stop the truck and restart, it's back to...
Thanks for saving me a lot of typing. Just got back from Grappone this morning for the BCM update. Everything went smoothly and service was great as I've come to expect.
I bought my truck there despite it being an hour away with several other, closer, Ford dealers. This was based on...
I know someone from Ford follows this site. Hopefully will result is some type of change since so many are reporting unintended acceleration.
As far as I'm concerned, I'd support a change that didn't turn on Cruise Control unless you were above 30 MPH. In all my years with CC vehicles, I've...
I had the inadvertent push of the cruise control happen to me for the second time yesterday. Felt the truck trying to accelerate when my foot was not on the accelerator (I don't use 1-pedal). Thankfully the setting was only for 25 MPH and my initial reaction is to hit the brake which stops...
Yes, but as I understand it, the courtesy wipe is for when you wash your windshield. After you stop spraying, it will wait a few seconds then wipe once more to get any remaining washer fluid. I like this feature. But in my view that should have noting to do with wipers during a rainstorm or...
Same for me. Sensing and rates work perfectly for me. But if I park the truck and forget to shut off the wipers, the next time I start it, the wipers will swipe on a dry windshield even if there are no drops to sense. Especially annoying this time of year when the wipers can be covered in pine...
I've wondered about this. Entering my first cold season with the truck, tried a conditioning schedule for the first time last week and it worked great (didn't notice what happened with the steering wheel). But being retired I don't have a regular schedule. Most of the time, our decision to drive...
Sounds like it's now working correctly. Even when on, you only get the message if someone or something is on the back seat. Mine is on but I only get the warning when the dog is with me and "sits" back there.
Yesterday was the first time I really was able to test mine. Worked great as I went from occasional wipes while it was misting to fast and furious while driving through a monsoon.
One thing I do find annoying is that you need to shut off the wiper switch unless it's raining (set to position 0)...
Thinking more about this, I'm wondering if I/we caused this unintentionally. My son's were using the Power Onboard all weekend to power a welder. In and out of the truck many times and usually leaving the doors open. The exterior lights were on and off all weekend. SOC started at 60 and ended at...
This may sound crazy, but any male cats in the area. I remember my dad complaining about this and it turned out to be male cats marking their territory by pissing on the tires. Smells like skunk.
I just got this on my truck. First issue I've seen. SOC at 57%. Only driven 440 miles so far, and only one charge to 80%. No 3rd party devices connected.
My main reason for considering this is for the electronics (Screens, chips, etc.). I'm sure that any failure there will be very expensive. I assume that those items are only covered for 3 years under the standard Ford warranty?
