    Range is the advantage. I guess there there's all the electrical black magic everyone is mentioning. I follow the Ford 90% for normal use. I charge to 100% about 4 times a month for my airport run.

    I think the TeslaTap mini 80amp is the best way to go. I used it all the time until I finally got my own charger (a Tesla Wallconnector J1772).

    Especially if you already have a Tesla charger...a second is great as they talk to each other. We now have a "straight" Tesla wall connector and a Tesla J1772 wall connector which simplified our wiring. They load share...which is nice.

    I now have 2 Tesla Gen 3 chargers installed (a Tesla & a J1772). You can NOT load share between a Gen 2 & a Gen 3. Gen 2 load share is hard wired, while Gen 3 is all software.
