Thanks for posting that red flag. I didn’t know that. And, I read the post below about load testing the battery.
Here is a screenshot of my 12V battery stats as a reference point. It’s been three years in FL heat and seems ok based on these stats.
Does anyone have a theory on why the manual recommends disconnecting the low voltage connector before pulling the DCFC manual release tab?
I had to use the DCFC manual release tab yesterday for the first time when charging at a Tesla supercharger with my Ford adapter.
I haven’t tested DCFC...
Not blaming the EVSE…Just thankful that I bought an EVSE that handles scheduling better than the Ford truck scheduling.
Now I can easily start, stop, control, adjust, and handle exceptions (like Good Friday recently, which needed to follow the weekend schedule) through the EVSE app.
I don't know if this is helpful or off topic, but I changed (upgraded) my Ford Connected Charge Station to an EMPORIA Level 2 EV Charger a few months ago and wish I did it earlier because I now I'm done fumbling with charge times.
I prefer to charge off peak for a minimal Duke energy charge...
I agree. It’s also a way to protect a mobile charger from theft. Would be great to have a toggle button for locking/unlocking charge port if the owner prefers.
Is it safe to assume that it's much harder to move CCS to that driver-side bed location instead of only adding J1772? I'd love to have a CCS port in that location for Tesla Superchargers.
The target charge adjustment did not work for me. The truck would not start the charge off schedule even after adjusting the target charge.
But, I did find a workaround that is better than setting an alarm clock or reprogramming the schedule.
1. I plug in my truck off schedule.
2. In the...
Thanks Taxman. I’m going to try the target charge adjustment and report back.
Deleting and re-entering the schedule is the least ideal work around. Adjusting Target Charge will be easier, if I can get it to work.
I'm having a problem with target charge limits outside my charging schedule. v5.28.0.
I currently have a charging schedule programmed into the truck to charge during certain times to 85%.
When I want to charge outside the schedule, I click the charge button in the app. The app then charges...
I need some help.
I was doing my quarterly Kool It spray in the AC drain and the footlong hose disconnected from the bottle and shot up into the drain.
I tried sucking it out with a shop vac. I tried making a hook on the end of a footlong piece of wire. It looks like the hose is caught on a...
if you get it back unfixed, I wonder if you can simulate hot weather with a heat gun — one block from the dealership.
I also wonder how much this part costs. It’s the same part as the ICE trucks right? Is it plug and play behind the brake light?
I’ll see if I can find any videos on replacing...
I just re-applied. I probably started noticing the smell a month ago. So, looks like I got from Jan - May in central Florida. But, I think every two months is typical for me. But, that’s ok because it’s cheap and easy…even if it only masks the issue.
I’ve charged many times at Tesla Chargers over the last year, but today was the first time for me that all stations were full. So, blocking two spots was not ideal.
I’ve had it happen to me once many months ago, but again today a Tesla driver backed down into what they thought was the open spot...
Everything seems to be working well now. Only one large Frunk clip lost in this service. I had the advisor text me an IOU for one large clip and explained that it might still require the entire panel to be ordered.
