  1. Software update (lack of) notification

Why is it the only notification I receive of an update - I just got PT-25.8.5 (Charge port...) ...is the engine sound is turned on again? Why?
  2. Truck slowing down on curved roads while using BlueCruise

When this happens there is an additional speed limit sign on your screen. Something they call safety. While I kind of don't like it, there have been a few times (before this upgrade) on an overpass curve where the truck did not slow. Had I not intervened it could have gotten very ugly. This is...
  3. MX Interval update in app

The only cost was the tire rotation. Side note: I asked them to check for the front axle "ping" because I hear it. They said it was driven by a mechanic and the head of MX and neither heard anything. I've been working around heavy machinery for 30+ years...I hear the ping, and I'm not even trying.
  4. MX Interval update in app

I recently had my truck in and was told they did the 30,000 mile service. Yet, when I look at the app, it does not show this to be the case. Does anyone know how this is triggered into the app?
  5. 12 volt battery monitor

So...when should we change our 12v battery? Unlike an ICE vehicle (during start) there is not "obvious" indication of its pending failure...that I'm aware of.
  6. FordPass 5.27 update iOS & Android

Yes, glad I didn't spend the extra to have that contraption installed.
  7. Can dealers update software?

I think we are saying the same thing. But - he did mention, this job was to update 2 modules, for pay of .3 each module. Yet, that .3 doesn't take into account all of the other supporting modules that have to be updated. He also talked about how bad pay at the dealership is. My impression was...
  8. Can dealers update software?

I just had mobile service stop by to do the front sensor update. I asked and he said for those updates required by the dealership, it automatically updates everything as the new stuff likely has dependencies on the newer versions of everything. This may be why there are some updates that have...
  9. Speaking of CarPlay

Ok, so here is somewhat of an update. Yes, I see that when using the phone, I can adjust phone volume. That really isn't the issue. The issue is, phone usage volume vs phone *ring* volume. Something I failed to take into account before is... The ring tone I use is one I created. On my phone...
  10. FordPass 5.8.0 | 5.8.1 post-26 | 5.8.3 post-38 for iOS

The widget is basic, but a start. Is there something special I need to do for the lock/unlock to show as an option for the command center?
  11. Speaking of CarPlay

I see where you are going with this, and I'll make these adjustments, but so far my experience is CarPlay overrides these settings.
  12. Speaking of CarPlay

I did fiddle through that section. I may try no ring and see what happens, though, I did change to a "softer" ring tone in those settings and once I got CarPlay going again, it defaulted to my standard ring tone.
  13. Speaking of CarPlay

That may be true. But I usually scramble to turn the volume down when it rings, and that lower volume doesn't stick.
  14. Speaking of CarPlay

Is it a CarPlay thing, or do I not know where the setting is: Ring/message volume when the phone is connected to CarPlay is way too loud. Also, I discovered from the other day, when merely connected to the truck as a phone (no CarPlay), that this is a problem. It seems to be the same volume as...
  15. Yes, even the iPhone needs to...

You might be surprised how many times a reboot of the computers on a plane fixes problems...though it isn't normally done during flight.
  16. Yes, even the iPhone needs to...

Well...don't get too excited. My iPhone is finally catching up to what my Android phone did...5+ years ago. I lost the family fight, plus the never ending "green bubble" shaming from friends is finally over. The iPhone is a solid device, but Apple devices have plenty of their own issues. It is...
  17. Yes, even the iPhone needs to...

Funny, I've done the same to my Windows devices for...ever.
  18. Yes, even the iPhone needs to...

...be rebooted once in a while. Today CarPlay wouldn't connect. Usually, a few taps and things get going. Not this time, and of course I was on an hour long drive. Then the drive back, usually with a restart of the truck CarPlay gets fixed. Nope. Now another hour drive. Finally I did what I do...
