AI can be great.
The perception here is, rather than spend resources on getting the Ford App solid, and the truck software all updated for everyone...we instead see this AI thing (another app?).
Something that may be cool and may have some use, but we want what we already have to be top notch.
Does anyone notice a parallel between American's "fear" of charging a car and the folks in this thread and their dislike/distrust/dis-something of YouTube?
It humors me.
I'm surprised no mention of the home power backup hasn't been mentioned. While that wasn't a reason I bought the truck, I thought it was a cool side effect...until I saw the actual cost. I never did it. I believe this is a major failure.
I also think a combination of the first reduction in...
I got the Lightning because if fit my "mission". City truck stuff, no towing, 90 minutes to the airport a few times a month.
It's a great fit for me...and most people if they researched on their own vs listening to the news.
Wait for this winter's EV horror stories.
I haven't towed anything, so I can't speak to that, but travelling in this truck is a non-event.
Ford let the media own the narrative about the charging infrastructure.
Yes, in the ealier days is was mediocre. With the addition of the Tesla network, that changed and has continued to greatly...
So I've driven the truck on 2 of my longer usual round trips now. I do this drive 3 to 4 times a month. About an hour each direction and 95% highway.
My mileage on these last two trips is the same as it ever was.
Zero change in economy.
Cruising down the highway, In my fine machine...
A semi-truck tire tread carcass was unavoidable.
I actually thought I'd clear it just fine...but for the active air dam.
I drove another 15 minutes not knowing there was even an issue.
At my destination I noticed from afar there was something...
In Cali, most (ok, a lot of) ground equipment is electric.
For tugs is can make complete sense as, one of the things you want is for a tug to be heavy.
It is hooked to a Piper M600.
I have an electric tug and apparently left it on when I traveled recently.
Upon return the tug was dead.
Nothing a Lighting & a long extension cord can’t fix.
I would say any generalized setting will not satisfy an audio snob.
I remember people refusing to use Dolby because it killed (at least) the high end.
XM audio is bad. I use Spotify via CarPlay and find it to be great. I don’t use normalization.
An EV isn't for everyone.
When people ask me about it, I clarify it need to fit your "mission".
City driving only? Probably a good fit.
I do about 50/50. My highway driving is 100 miles away. Good fit...for me.
I am in the south...so enter that into your equation.
No, but I do think the EV SUV makes sense. It would be another mom-tank that is used to hustle carpool for school and sports. It would be perfect for that.
Additionally, the thought that an EV need to be an entirely new vehicle is off base.
The lighting is a grand example.
Home charging is a must...for any EV.
I'd lean toward the larger battery, but you do you.
Don't get hung up on when you are getting the next software update...just live.
I got the Ford spray in bed liner and I also got the husky bed matt. Yes, it's a city truck.
The only other thing I have...
