While cleaning the front plastic trim at the base of the windshield I noticed this gap? I was wondering if you all have same gap. I tried to approximate the two trim pieces closer together but no go.
Got my new Avalanche gray Lightning a week ago and already installed tint, MX4 Tonneau cover, FitCamX dashcam, stubby antenna, and these Molle panels from BuiltRight industries today- perfect fit, well packaged. Here’s a pic of the panels without accessories. Just waiting on my Etsy lettering...
This definitely in my mind is a Lightning; it’s a truck with a frunk and Platinum wheels. The grill looking structure may just be what the bumper looks like after the front plastic has been burned off.
3 weeks ago on July 14th, I had my Lightning Lariat ER towed into my local dealer for a Powertrain malfunction / High Voltage battery warning.
They diagnosed a faulty “battery module” and said Ford shipped a replacement part. 3 weeks later and I still have no idea when my Lightning will be...
Yes, definitely compatible- both are J1772.
I use a Grizzl-E charger to charge both. I haven’t felt the need to install the Ford charge station Pro as I limit my charge speed to 7.5kw.
My wife and I were sold on EVs after owning a MachE for several months, now we have a Taycan Cross Turismo and a Lightning. I always choose the Lightning for around town driving.
As much as I love my frunk and the rapid quiet acceleration of the Lightning, I would also keep your PB mostly for lane keep assist and bluecruise. I use bluecruise regularly when I hit bumper to bumper traffic which is common here in California.
My wife has a Taycan Cross Turismo, it’s an amazing car- the interior quality and comfort is at another level as is the driving dynamics especially with rear wheel steering she even has thermal imaging and a head up display for added safety, 0-60 is high 4 sec (with launch control)- she loves...
If it’s dealer stock then they should sell for what the market will pay, it’s when they pull last minute shenanigans like nitrogen filled tires, gps, no value add ons just to get the customer to orphan their order after waiting for several months. That’s what upsets me and makes me reconsider...
Anyone know why Ford eliminated Iced Blue Silver for the 2023 Lightning? Seemed to be a popular color, maybe our sample size was too small in this poll…
800V architecture (or higher) and a heat pump should be a minimum.
Bonuses: Nicer interior (on par with Ram and new generation GM trucks), a physical knob for the AC/heater. Optional: air compressor, HUD, night vision.
LOL, that's what I mean by simplify- what's the tow capacity on this truck? does it have Class IV hitch? what type of connector does it have? is the teenager at the Uhaul counter going to reliably answer these truck questions before I drive there? how much will local my uHaul charge me? is it...
The F150 lightning is the fastest, strongest, quietest F150 ever made, we all know that but the main hesitation with the platform seems to be tow range anxiety. Now don't get me wrong, I am a believer that if you need to tow more than 100 miles on the regular then the Lightning is not the right...
I paid 180k in taxes last year, it is disappointing that I’ll be excluded from future tax credits. Going forward I’ll probably be looking to purchase 1-2 year old used EVs. Looks like used car prices are finally starting to decline.
Looks like the new tax credit law was signed yesterday, I just saw Alex on Auto’s video over the matter. I have a production build date of 9/5/2022 on a 80,889$ Lariat ER- does it make sense to remove max trailer tow to qualify for the EV credit? I’m also over the income cap but I heard that...
Just this morning I was looking at cars.com and was scratching my head on how Sunrise Ford had so many F150 Lightnings for sale, now I know. I suspect all preorders were taken over by the dealer with these tactics. This morning they had 5 Lightnings for sale. Such garbage.
I agree with you- they redesigned it from the ground up to take advantage of not having a gasoline engine and improve aerodynamics for range and that is awesome. I did vote for the F150 though, to me it looks way better. My wife really does not like the look of the Silverado EV, I think it’s...
