That's a really good point. If we're only enabling features that are enabled in other trims or other countries, it's hard to see how Ford could change that with an OTA without negatively impacting a lot of unmodified vehicles.
I think I should have asked a question differently. I understand the hex to binary conversion and 1s enabling and 0s disabling.
What I’m trying to figure out is Why does it make sense to go from 4 to 2 for this mod instead of 4 to 0. If the goal is to disable SS, why also enable B?
I don’t...
I am writing to see if someone could help me understand as I learn how to start reading Livinitup's spreadsheet linked from the original post.
I'm trying to use this mod that alexose posted to understand the spreadsheet:
BONUS: IPC quick boot. This disables the annoying (albeit inaudible) Ford...
Thanks for the input. This definitely clears up some things for me.
After I read the Forscan tutorial, I was originally thinking that if I needed to revert back, I would restore from an original backup or a previous modified module backup. I think this may have made sense years ago before...
I was thinking about the best way to organize my modded modules in case I need to load an original module or revert back to a previous modded module, and it got me thinking about OTA updates.
If I backed up my original modules today, and I received an OTA tomorrow, could the data in my original...

I confirm that I have the single beep at startup after disabling the Seat Belt chime on vehicle startup, which I think is aka key-in chime.
I don't know anything about any shitdowns.
I finally stopped being scared and successfully programmed my first Forscan mods. Thank you for the information in this forum.
Special thanks to bmwhitetx's F150 Lightning FORScan thread - Version 2 and it's link to Livnitup's tutorial, I was able to connect to Forscan using my OBDLink MX+.
