I have it in my 2023 Lightning Lariat ER and it does work - but it is very nerve racking watching it maneuver itself into parking spaces - also you need to let it “scan” the spot before it activates so when there is traffic you are affecting it can annoy people…but - much like trailer hitch...
It’s pretty comfortable, easy up and down ones you get it mounted. Lots of storage pouches including a clear one for IPad watching and has LED built into the upper roof. The awning also has integrated LEDs that change color in the support arms.
Nothing significant, I will keep an eye on it this summer. But the hardshell is about 197 lbs so I don’t want to take it off and on all the time - lol! The nice thing is it still fits in the garage with the awning and tent installed so that’s a plus!
I’ve noticed this recently as well. I just haven’t had time to have somebody drive it while I look under the seat to figure out what it is. It’s really the only rattle (other than the seatbelt, getting twisted and bumping against the hard plastic that was mentioned earlier) that I have experienced.
I installed mine yesterday - went smoothly (but I’ve never seen issues towing my horse trailer several times).
It did reset “MyView” but that seems to happen all the time - must be some combined config file on the backend or something…
Now I just want an OTA to retain my 24 hour clock! 🏪
The winldfinder is not in the pics of the truck - just the 270 awning - but the wildfinder hardshell has two aluminum rails that the attachment system fastens to and then onto the cross bars. So you can have the awning brackets on the bars and they do not interfere with the tent mounting (they...
My battery in my 2023 was not really giving me issues but I did notice a few times where the truck had to go into deep sleep mode - so I proactively purchased and installed a new OEM Ford battery and performed the battery reset process on my own…it’s been good ever since.
Never wanted to risk...
You mentioned “organizing” your camp kitchen…I am going to try and recreate the “chuck wagon” box my father and I built for the back of our suburban when I was young…it would be slightly less tall and with built in’s for an electric induction stove and coffeemaker -ideally a framed setup with...
@Ford Motor Company - he mentions a valid point on Pro Power Onboard shutting off when less than 90watts is drawing - is that something that can be improved with an OTA? It would make the feature so much more valuable…
Love the video!
I just got my Wildfinder hardshell and a 270 canopy to do what you are doing, cannot wait! I am in SE PA and was looking at that same location.
Did you find the canopy snagged on anything with those tight backroads in the woods?
I would love the SYNC clock to stay set to 24 hour mode when I set it that way… and since this is the same UI and operating system for the most part with the MachE, I would think they’d be able to do that…and if it’s in 24 hour mode the AM time should start with a zero…🙂
Hi,
That can be annoying - I wanted to also throw out there that a fellow Lightning Club member was having similar issues and he was able to resolve it by adjusting the two tailgate latch bolts (see pic). They are torx bit and you can loosen them and move in and out - not sure if this will help...
One of the best features of the truck!
I have used PPO 5-6 times to power our home’s critical circuits over the last 3 years. We have a well pump and we both work from home so keeping power on is a must.
Last year was an eye opener because our neighbor 5 houses down literally burned down...
I own a 2023 Lariat ER made in December of 2022 and it almost has 86,000 miles on it and I have had zero issues with it. The only issues I had related to powertrain were after early OTAs were applied but none since then, it’s been fantastic.
I did just replace the original 12v battery...
Did you mean the “grill shutters” or the air dam? They are two separate components - cannot imagine the air dam preventing charging but it is plausible if the radiator “grill shutters” were jammed shut they would not want to permit charging.
