  1. The dreaded "STOP SAFELY NOW" message and the cause...

We have motion-detecting battery rechargeable LED light sticks in our closet. They run for a year w/o recharging, don't come on during the daytime -- so their use is very intermittent. A guy could stick one in Frunk -- and maybe even sneak one in the 12V battery compartment. I haven't had...
  2. Drop in bed liner is hard to clean out

I'm going to give the tarp idea a try next time.
  3. How to lower a 2025 Flash to fit in a carport?

Do you pull a trailer or haul heavy loads? Will lowering the truck cause tires to rub (in turns?) when loaded? I installed a rubber stop-block years ago on my Dodge truck -- leaf springs -- it limited travel for the last 2 inches under heavy load, but otherwise didn't change the anything.
  4. Drop in bed liner is hard to clean out

I used my garden hose but expended a lot of water. There was a small amount up front against the front that remained in spite of my efforts. There are 2 opening in front for the bed tie-downs - which are so recessed that they are almost unreachable and essentially useless. I agree, for most...
  5. TripleAliners Bed Mat Review

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FNN2KKSD The tailgate cover looks interesting, too-- full coverage, no open gaps. (Not an endorsement -- just an observation).
  6. TripleAliners Bed Mat Review

What does this sell for on Amazon? Link?
  7. Drop in bed liner is hard to clean out

I owned a Dodge Dakota for 13 years with a drop in bed liner. I took it out before I sold it -- just to see what the bed underneath looked like -- it was in perfect condition. I heat my home with wood -- and dropped 1000's of pieces of firewood into the bed with zero damage. Granted, when I...
  8. Drop in bed liner is hard to clean out

I can't see hauling crushed rock and sand on that carpet --- talk about a cleaning nightmare! I am concerned about a tiny bit of sand that fell between the bed and cab -- My next trip will have a rolled up sheet stuffed in there so that none of that stuff gets in there. No way to get it out...
  9. Drop in bed liner is hard to clean out

    That's a good idea -- I'll give it a tryy next time.
  10. Drop in bed liner is hard to clean out

I hauled a small load of gravel last Friday and I spent more time hosing out the drop-in bed liner than actually shoveling the gravel out. The channels captured and held rocks and sand in the grooves. There seems to be 4 bed users out there: 1), Nothing -- just bare metal. 2). Spray-in...
  11. Anybody use the Curt Echo brake controller?

It's been a while since I used mine -- but I think the unit has an accelerometer and triggers when brake lights come on -- it will activate the trailer brakes - no phone required. Check the manual and verify. It works this way just in case the bluetooth signal drops out.
  12. Not charging on J1772

I posted something similar -- a ground problem was suggested. My Nissan Leaf L1 120VAC charger works more reliably than the L1 Ford charger.
  13. Not charging on J1772

This is why everyone should have 2 EV -- you can use the 2nd one for troubleshooting. That's what I do.
  14. ESP claim denial with tail light water intrusion (blind spot failure)

I accidentally tapped my light with my tractor bucket resulting in a pea-sized hole in the corner. Then we got a 5" rain which got into the fixture, even though I sealed it up with silicon caulk.. Ford dealer wants $2K for the new fixture and $500 for the BSM module inside. I still have...
  15. Will US EV production survive?

The return of $5 - $6 / gallon may move the needle. I've already had one person mention to me that he thought I was glad that I bought my Lightning (yes, I am). I still see cars and trucks lined up at the pumps. The real test will be when those same pumps have yellow bags over the handles due...
  16. SW Indiana -- Ford Service department recommendations, alternate service resources

I'd be willing to drive some distance - if you mentioned Louisville, or Owensboro, I'd be willing to take the time to make the drive. I reached out to a local in a different town over the phone -- and his attitude was very good. I'll report in tomorrow after my appointment.
  17. Comma AI self driver assistant

I'm going to suggest a help for the 120 page manual issue: use notebookllm.google.com -- add the user manual, photos, notes, forum posts, as sources in a new "notebook". Then, ask questions at the dialogue prompt. it will search your sources and provide answers with page #'s for reference...
  18. SW Indiana -- Ford Service department recommendations, alternate service resources

that's probably what I'm going to do. I still have 12K miles lef ton warranty, but since it was my fault, that won't help. But, if the dealer does it and it happens again, then, it would be covered by Ford.
  19. 2025 Ford Lighting Flash (Non-Max Towing) - Install Factory Brake Controller

I've looked into this -- since I have the gain control in the dash, can I assume I have the ACM module and all I need is the programmer? I think this was all working until the dealer attempted the TRM module recall process (which I authorized him to do, since I was unaware that the controller...
