This reminds me of ālifetimeā or long interval transmission fluids in ICE vehicles. Thereās a lot of doubt around those recommendations. Iāve heard the theory that manufacturers are trying to appeal to buyers with a low maintenance vehicle knowing those same people will probably sell that...
Iām not going to split hairs on the labeling of the thread, but Iām willing to bet the fire report lists it as a vehicle fire that extended to the building.
And the firefighter running the channel is legit and good at sticking to the facts. He doesnāt have an anti-EV agenda. In fact, that would...
Kyle from Out of Spec ran out of juice at 0%. Truck died right outside of the charging station. With some help, they pushed it to the charger and he was able to initiate a charge without a problem.
Perhaps your problem was compounded because of a dead 12v battery as well.
As was said, installation is a breeze. Just bolt it to preexisting holes. Itās easier with a second set of hands, but it can be done with one.
I found the wiring harness for the lights for the steps. Took off the factory caps and hooked them up. Literally plug and play and didnāt require Forscan.
I have a ā23 standard range pro as well. I bought running boards off of a platinum owner on here. After 25k miles, I can attest that I could not notice a difference in range. However, climbing into the truck is noticeably easier for my whole family.
The quality of the image is just adequate for me. Itās not as good as my 2017 Volvo, but it works well enough at night. Though, Iād like to see the center high mount camera with better resolution.
I wouldnāt worry in a standard range truck to make that trip as long as you donāt take it over 70 mph.
However, I would check PlugShare to make sure that the charger was functioning and reliable.
If the entire battery isnāt available, whatās the point?
On a road trip, Iām monitoring how much I charge and compare it to how much Iām using. With the standard range battery, itās simple math. And the GOM may be inaccurate, but the BMS is spot on. Thatās why Iām confident to run it down to...
I would disagree. The ambient temperatures are already in the mid 90ās on the Florida turnpike in the summer. After a charging session, I can see the increased temperature on my gauge. And my efficiency is down until that battery cools off to its normal temperature.
My efficiency takes a bit of a hit after DC fast charging as well. Once I finish a session, I notice my battery is a bit warmer. I believe Iām losing efficiency because the truck is using more energy to cool the battery.
Itās been about 4 1/2 weeks. I know the vampire drain on the lightning is low, but I donāt think itās nonexistent either. That would be a half a percent a day.
Sorry to resurrect an old thread. Like most of you, I had just considered this all user error and dismissed it from my mind until this afternoon.
With one pedal engaged, I was trying to cross a four lane divided highway from a stop sign. The car in the right lane approaching me slowed down to...
I have the truxedo pro x-15. It has served me well for the last 2 years. It is a low profile, keeps the water out, easy to operate, and you have full access to the bed and can see out the rear window when rolled up.
Iāve owned fords before, but only used. And it had been almost 20 years since I owned a ford when I bought my lightning. My previous truck was an ā05 ram. When the ram became long in the tooth and just uncomfortable to daily drive I couldnāt pull the trigger on a new truck. I just couldnāt see...
