It's not too bad.. it's saved my butt a few times. Though the first time I wound up sitting at a level 2 charger for 6 hours on a road trip to charge up enough to get home before I knew to try this. You can do it without removing the side piece in the frunk as well.
Did you try resetting the charge circuit and pulling back the pin in the charge port? This happens to me every now and then and that's usually the fix.
Nice I had the actual Chamberlain homekit adapter I bought in 2017.. but that thing was never totally reliable. But apparently they are very much in demand as I sold it on eBay for double what the ratgdo cost
