  1. Towing Mirrors and 6 ½ foot bed … possible?

Title says it all – the configuration doesn't show tow mirrors or 6 ½ foot bed. Perhaps someone here is in Ford and can see inside the system to know what's possible. The tow mirrors could be done from parts (I'm not keen to try, but surely 100% compatible with the 2022 F-150 ICE vehicles, if...
  2. contractors will buy millions of Lightnings

In case you had any doubt … here's a builder walking around a Lightning making it abundantly clear that a hot rod pickup that doesn't look like a joke and does provide job site power and home emergency backup power is an easy decision for their business.
  3. Reports of 472 mile range (continued)

Revisiting the EPA with payload question, here's a newish youtuber EV enthusiast reporting on more clues to the F-150 range being smarter than your average bear. One can only hope.
  4. Snow Chains on the front wheels?

I just got a set of diamond pattern chains. Test fit to rear wheels and I don't like the way the chain hangs over the wheel, but there's no adjustment on the back side to snug it down and center the chain on the tread pattern. Perhaps others here have found better chains. Does anyone know clever...
  5. Big F'n Goodrich – 275/65R20 – does it fit the Hybrid?

Does the BFG All-Terrain T/A K02 fit the 2021 F-150 Hybrid FX4 in 275/65R20? The 275/60R20 is the direct replacement, the 65 is an inch larger overall diameter with much higher ratings and only 2lbs heavier with basically a half inch extra clearance at rated pressure or I guess higher sidewall...
  6. Marques Brownlee aka @MKBHD takes a Mach-E 1000 mile road trip … subtitle "how first time EV owners will struggle with the Lightning"

This simple drive started with a flawed premise, struggled through a failed experiment and concluded with no conclusion … gas fills up quicker then volts … So the only purpose was to advertise Tesla (but Tesla doesn't pay for advertising they say … : ) and to book serious revenue from a video...
  7. The Alpha WOLF™ Electric Truck

This caught my eye on youtube today. "Yet another EV startup" with a car and a pickup. Both look good and they're mocked up some cool models. It's apparently on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum till mid-November 2021. Available late 2023 (free to reserve.) https://www.alphamotorinc.com/
  8. You can't get there from here.

Here's some details on long distance (500 miles to 2000 miles) of EV driving, F-150 Hybrid driving the same route and thinking about the Lightning. For example, I've driven Salt Late City to Denver in a Tesla, in a blizzard (or three) with road closures and head winds. It's no fun. But at least...
  9. "EVs require less maintenance" … oh really … : )

Here's a market study showing some EVs are damn spendy in the first 90 days … not just Porsche and Audi (about $800!) but the Mach-e also has a finger in your pocket. Note that some of the costs are attributed to wheels and tires – EVs are heavier than ICEs which can mean a pothole will do more...
