After a month at the dealership for a battery module replacement and then a return to the dealership a week later due to charging issues, Ford has agreed to Buy Back my MY22 Lightning. I'm awaiting an official offer from Ford sometime next week. While I wait, I was curious to hear what Ford...
I've used a FCSP for all my Lightning home charging. Prior to having a module replaced which took just under four weeks, I would easily charge at about 10.5kW. Post module fix I'm barely seeing 3-4kW. I have no idea why since nothing has changed on the charger settings.
Anyone else have issues...
For the folks that have had the 23H01 bulletin applied by Ford to their vehicle or even have experienced the High Voltage Warning and Powertrain Malfunction errors, how has your truck been post repair?
This is the 3rd week my truck has been at the dealership. Apparently they have the module...
After work today I started up my truck as usual, but this time I noticed the power was limited it 3%.... Enough for a slow crawl.
I tried turning the truck on and off, but no help. I then got two errors saying Powertrain Malfunction and High Voltage Warning. Last week I got the 12V Battery...
I'm looking to sell my Ford Charge Station Pro to make a switch to a ChargePoint Flex unit. The reason being that I only wired the FCSP for a 60A circuit, don't plan to install the HIS (backup system) and there are local incentives that only apply to ChargePoint chargers.
Looking to get $750...
I'm looking to lock into a 12 month contract for an alternative electricity supplier here in Massachusetts and noticed that Clearview Energy has a plan that's 13.59C/kWhr that includes 250kWhrs per month free for EV charging done between 11PM and 6AM. You get credited $34 a month or $408 a year...
I have a trip coming up about 150 miles each way from Massachusetts to the boonies of Maine. There's plenty of 150kW DCFC on 95 south of Portland, but after that its a 62.5kW charger in Auburn and Level 2 chargers.
I keep going back and forth on if I should take the Lightning or the family...
I have three little kids in car seats in the backseat of the truck. It's inevitable spilt chocolate milk and smeared McDonalds ketchup is not far behind.
Has anyone ordered a rear seat protector to prevent their children from destroying the seats? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Anyone from Massachusetts finance through Parsons FCU? I need their Lien Holder ID. It's a 6 digit number that starts with a C. Without it, I can't close. The guy I'm dealing with has no idea what this is.
Any help?
For those who have mounted their FCSP indoors and ran the cable under the garage door to the truck in the driveway, how's it working out? Please share your experience and photos of your installation.
Debating about installing outdoors or indoors like this.
Ford is touting the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist feature as an added feature for MY23. However, this was a feature that was announced for MY22 as a feature to be added at a later date.
Has anyone seen anything that the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist will actually be an OTA update sometime in the future...
I had a built week of 7/18 and it appears that my truck is built and sitting at the dreaded Ramp 51 in Flat Rock, MI waiting for shipment.
For those that have had their trucks sitting here, how long have you been in this position? I got the IN PRODUCTION status on 7/24, so it's only been a...
Looks like Manchin and Schumer have a climate deal in place that includes extending the $7500 EV tax credit and lifting the 200,000 cap. This is great news, but I'm a little concerned with the terms. As currently written, if passed cars that exceed $55,000 and trucks that exceed $80,000 would...
I'll be hopefully taking delivery of my Lightning in August and I'm starting to plan where to install the Charge Station Pro. I'd love to see your installations for ideas.
If you have one installed, please post pics here!
Has anyone explored or gone with the Ford Options financing? My trucks being built this week, so I'm starting to consider my options.
I know it may not be the best deal out there, but the lower monthly payments and the ability to walk away after 36 or 48 months is attractive.
Hi everyone -
I see lots of videos with the Lightning pulling large travel trailers or large loads in general, but I was wondering if anyone has experience with pulling a more traditional pop-up tent trailer? I'm thinking with the reduced weight and increased aerodynamics of a pop-up, towing a...
I've seen my build date shift from 6/13 to 6/20 to 7/11 and now 7/18. I've noticed the shifts have happened on Thursdays or Fridays.
Is this typical? Are Thursdays or Fridays to days to monitor your accounts to see if your Build Date has been modified? I'm hoping it'll shift back down for once!
Hi everyone, Im reading mixed information if the Lariat ERs or the Lightning in general is provided with ambient lightning. I know it's advertised from Ford as if it's there. It's mentioned in the manual. However, people who have attended the events recently are indicating the feature has been...
Knowing that SunRun contracts with SolarEdge, it appears that the "inverter" and ATS solution might be the Solaredge Energy Hub. This inverter appears to be the interface between the utility, DC batteries and Solar Panels all in one package.
Has there been any confirmation that this is the...
Hi -
I measured my garage and it'll just fit the Lightning. However, the side with the deeper garage bay would require the drivers side door to open towards a wall. Not ideal. It would be easier to enter and exit the vehicle if I were to back in. It'll be a tight and difficult squeeze backing...
