I noticed that CarCostCanada has the 2023 pricing so I built myself an XLT. For my preferred configuration with ER, both tow packages, and not much else it’s $97,920, plus tax. Yikes.
Since the ER Lightning has a GVWR of 8550 pounds, it isn’t subject to the Canadian federal Luxury Tax for vehicles over $100,000, which applies to light duty vehicles with GVWR of 8500 pounds (3856 kg) or less...
Here’s the Body Builders Layout Book for the 2022 F-150, now including data for the Lightning. Has dimensional data, curb weights, load ratings, etc.

Well ima still waiting for a look at the XLT, but Redline Reviews has a good look at the standard range Pro. There’s no view of the payload sticker but it shows 2152 pounds on the on-board scales screen.
Here’s where I plan to document my journey hooking up a fifth wheel RV to my Lightning. After considerable overthinking, I decided to give it a try.
We just purchased a Reflection 150 278BH. By coincidence my dealer is Can-Am RV of London, ON, which you’ve probably heard of if you’ve been...
Well I’ve decided to go a different direction. My wife and I have decided we need a bigger fifth wheel to manage camping with our teenager and special-needs preschooler. So it’s out with the Lightning idea and in with an F-350. We’ll be upsizing from our current 25-ft fiver to a 27 or 28 footer...
The F-150 Lightning will have an aluminum battery enclosure. Interesting, I thought these were usually steel.

Magna helps Ford electrify the future...
Just thinking about the Lightning and its ability to tow heavy trailers.
A few years ago we would have called a 6500-lb truck with 2000 pounds of payload and >700 lb-ft of torque a “3/4 ton diesel.”
Range limitations aside, I think the Lightning will perform very well.
Was just watching this Mr. Truck video which gives the first view of the pickup bed that I’ve seen.
There are a few “flat spots” in the bed liner. What would those be for?
