  1. Major damage to my new Lightning (T-bone collision) - now what?

They did not total it. We waited 2 months to take it in so that they would have the parts, but the dealer ended up not even ordering the parts until we took it in. Something about inventory costs. Made no sense. It took 4 months after we brought it in. They provided a loaner after some...
  2. 48hrs of ownership….rear ended!

As you may have seen, ours got t-boned. The Ford dealer says it will take about a month to get parts. So, it may not be as bad as you may be thinking.
  3. 【More Products OTW】BestEvMod(AOSK), We are an experienced aftermarket accessories developer. Any Great Ideas? We could make it happen!

This is what I was going to ask for as well. I would also be interested in a cooler insert in the console powered by the truck seemlessly, even when stopped. That big hole is just begging to be used by something useful.
  4. Backup obstruction/collision warning tolerance

I wish there was an option to show the 360 camera by default under 5mph when first putting into drive. It's too hard to turn on the camera each time. It would help me.
  5. Major damage to my new Lightning (T-bone collision) - now what?

We actually had a body shop do this just to make the door open/close for now.
  6. Major damage to my new Lightning (T-bone collision) - now what?

If any YouTube channel or other media wants exclusive access to a story on probably one of the first (ugh) Lightnings with major damage, please DM me reply. I imagine this will draw a few clicks.
  7. Major damage to my new Lightning (T-bone collision) - now what?

As you can see, I was T-boned. It’s drivable still. What certifications should body shops have to do this repair? The first one said they may have to remove the battery pack first. Suggestions on how to proceed? 😥
  8. Topper (aka camper shell) - any concerns?

Sorry, no. Despite being able to see out of the back window and open it, the camera is mounted too high and is completely blocked by the shell of topper.
  9. Topper (aka camper shell) - any concerns?

Here are some pictures. Only issue is not specific to the Lighting: the lift gate was left open and was damaged by the garage door since it opens slightly too tall for my garage.
  10. Topper (aka camper shell) - any concerns?

So far, we have not noticed any substantial efficiency difference with our topper.
  11. 330 Mile Road Trip with Travel Trailer Towed by Lightning Lariat Extended Range (ER)

This has been our experience with towing open trailers. It's all about aerodynamics. Simply having chairs standing up or a trailer ramp up vs. down make a huge difference (.8 vs. 1.2 for ramp).
  12. Sooooo...where's the full DCFC test?

Thank you! Today we charged at Boonville again. The first time on station 3 it did the same thing (at 35% charge, started at ~170kW and within a few minutes it went back down to 35kW). We swiched to the other cable on the same station tower and this time it went to 175kW and stayed above 125kW...
  13. Sooooo...where's the full DCFC test?

Thanks for the reply! We have the Lariat ER. I was expecting what Ford advertized as going from 15% to 80% in about 41 minutes (https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/owner-resources/f-150-lightning/f-150-lightning-charging-frequently-asked-questions/#8). The last experience I described above...
  14. Sooooo...where's the full DCFC test?

Has this charger location consistently charged at this rate for you in the Lightning? We have not been able to any DC Fast charger to stay above 120kW for more than a few minutes. Our charging was primarily at Boonville, MO EA 350kW charger in the middle of a trip on I-70. I am wondering if...
  15. Blue charging indicator light change?

Sorry. The first time it started at 60% and ended at 71% after 22 minutes.
  16. Blue charging indicator light change?

Today we charged there again. It started at 170W on a 71% charge But, after about 10 minutes, it went down to 36kW. We unplugged and plugged again. It went up to about 120kW, but started to fall again quickly. It was only 75F degrees outside. We don't have the tow package. I wonder if...
  17. Blue charging indicator light change?

Thank you! A classic case of RTFM - sorry. I didn't know my dad had accidentally changed this.
  18. Blue charging indicator light change?

Agreed! We can't tell what is limiting charging or even the charge rate. Many people can't see or even know how to see the rate on the charge station itself. We have had a really bad experience with slow charging in Missouri along I-170. The Electrify America in Boonvill rated at 350KW only...
