I think I’ve got the timing down. The first leg of my trip the train averaged 22mph. I calculated the distance to the next hub (Demler, PA) and estimated an arrival time of 8:30pm. The train arrived at8:19pm.

Currently I’m anticipating it leaving Demler around 10:30pm. From there…I’m not sure if it’ll go to Baltimore or Washington DC. But if it maintains this speed, it could arrive at Twin Oaks by Friday.
My train is taking forever to get through cincinatti. It's moving to a new suburb town every 30 mins.

Calling, texting, refreshing websites!?! At the end of the day Ford will build, ship, and deliver your truck when it’s good and ready. I think no matter how much cajoling and pleading I do, it’ll show up at my dealer when it shows up.

On a more serious note, I’ve spent the last month or two wringing my hands and starting to second guess my decision to buy this thing and wondering if I want to drop $80K on a truck. Don’t get me wrong, I’m in a position in my life where I can afford it, but just the thought of dropping that kind of cash (my current 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 cost me $38,000), I was seriously thinking about getting out and letting the dealership and a lucky soul have it. Then MY23 pricing came out and slapped me upside the head and said, ”Hey dummy, you want this truck and they aren’t going to get any cheaper in the coming years so you better do it and do it now!”
I’m back baby!! Where’s my truck!!!!!
^This.

I think we can all admit that dropping 80k on a vehicle doesn't make much financial sense. I've been doubting this for a while and questioning if I should work with the dealer to hand over the Lightning for a discounted ICE XLT. Now knowing the prices have jumped drastically, features are being removed and the tax credit won't apply, it's a no brainer. It would be stupid not to take delivery and enjoy the truck. Looking forward to when mine finally ships out.

Or better yet. The residuals just went up for us. You can likely drive the truck for a year or two and get what you paid for it.

Exactly. MA has a $7500 rebate on top of the federal incentive. I need to keep the truck for a minimum of 48 months to keep the rebate, but after that I bed I could still get decent money for it.

Not many people can say that they can buy a sub $100k car and call it an investment both short and long term. You can flip and profit about $20k. Or you can drive it for three years and not lose a dime. Unless someone has some sudden financial woes, i can't understand why they back out of a guaranteed profit investment.

Correct the long plastic thingies that are on the outside of the truck with little lights in them, that get abused are $2800 not installed too.

Shoot I Don't know if we can get gold plated handles for that cheap.
After you told me the price, I contacted a semi-local seller and told him I would pay him whatever he is asking including my left kidney because it'll be cheaper than buying it from Ford. It was 3 hours round trip but he let me keep my kidney. Which is good because they didn't come with the flange nuts, so I'm sure I will need to sell it to buy some from Ford.

Of course I probably spent $500 in gas to drive my current truck to get them...I can't wait until my F-150L gets here.

I received the “your vehicle is on the way” email this morning. Sparky has shipped! Yesterday morning I received a notification “primary user” had declined activation so I had an idea someone was in and moving the truck. 8/27-9/2 eta.

SWWWW Glad you we're able to keep your kidney and that the bruise on your head wasn't too bad that you we're still able to drive to go get them.

Also Second that tired of my $100 a week Fuel bill in a damn Accord, not even like I'm driving a truck a spending a $100 a week.

Not naming names about the copious time spent chasing logistics information but will someone more knowledgeable answer this basic question!?

I got the 'Shipped' email on August 3 but no date shows up in the Ford order tracking under the 'Shipped' step. Is it safe to assume that the truck changed hands from Ford to a carrier by August 3?

There is NEVER a recording of the shipped date on the time bar.

As to hand-offs from rail to convoy to dealer, not sure.

Thanks, was more curious about whether the date of me receiving the 'Shipped' email related to any concrete event i.e. truck was loaded onto something or just a random date the Ford system decides to send the email?

If you don't name names, how will we ever know who you are referring to?

The "Shipped" on the tracker is not reliable at all, neither is the email. I got several shipped emails.

It "shipped" when it was released from Ramp 51 (aka Area 51) and given a convoy tracking with vehi-ship. That shipment was to bring the truck from Ramp 51 to Ramp 5M (brought to you by 3M) Once it arrived, it was no longer in transit anymore and it went back to built.

Until Ford was able to release it to CSX, upon which it went back to "shipped". But it still sat at the ramp until it was loaded onto a railcar. Upon which it was given a railcar number and then subsequently actually departed Michigan for what I would consider "shipped".

My truck is more than halfway to me and the tracker still doesn't show shipped. So don't trust the tracker, and yes it's changed hands but it might not have left MI. You need to ping Ford chat and ask them for your primary and secondary status on VVR.

The shoe certainly does seem to fit your foot :)

Are you going through the chat via your personal Ford account page? I only see two 'Inquiry' options if so -
