AFAIK the Flash that came without the keypad isn’t programmed for one (nothing in the vehicle settings). Assuming the dealer must have done that when you leased it as well? Wife's been diving in the Red Sea. Said it was awesome. We mostly stay on Aggressor dive boats, but jumped off piers in Cayman and a couple of other places a few times. Great fun. Science fiction writers are hard pressed to imagine creatures and critters more fantastical than what's beneath the waves. Hope you can dive back in again soon! (See what I did there

You mentioned leaving your keys in the vehicle… on my ‘25 Flash it won’t let me lock the door when the key fob is inside the truck…safety measure to prevent getting locked out I believe. That being said, I don’t have the keypad…wondering if having a keypad programmed enables the truck to lock with keys inside…. Haven’t seen anything in a manual about it….Bought it new 12-22-2025 and surprised wife when I took it home, she wasn’t happy..
I love it however but realize I have the stripped down Flash, but also got it $12k below sticker.
The only item I would love to have is the external keypad, read somewhere, perhaps on this forum that it can be dealer installed after the fact…?
How does that work, already a wiring harness inside the B-pillar with power?
Drill a few holes and glue it on? If anybody has been through this surgery, how much was it?

The keypad is great for the beach and other settings when one need to leave keys and stuff in a locked vehicle, had a few previous Fords with the pad, thought it was included on every Ford, I was wrong.
Blue Cruise: I see comments left and right where folks hate on it and Tesla‘s self drive is head and shoulders better and above: Yes of course, no compariso.
I love my BC however and will probably renew @ $495 a year.
Understand my late model Flash (built 08-2025) has the latest version of BC but that must be a hardware issue, not software as it can be updated over the air…?
(After I bought this truck I wrote Ford and asked for any and all technical specs, like in-depth tech stuff, manuals etc but they only had the Owners Manual available, rolling eyes icon coming….)
Spent a lot of time with ChatGPT on F-150 Lighting subject, he is good at extracting information from every corner of the internet, wow.
First thing I did was to rip out the Ford plastic bed liner and give it away, then installed a Bakflip 4 and a rubber bed mat.
Also HEPA cabin filter, a short FM antenna, better wipers and floor mats.

Good stuff made to protect boats from salt and strong UV, used it for years on my boats and cars/trucks, much better at protecting than any automotive product, will attach a picture on the bottom of this page. (No, I don’t have stock in the company, but as a retired charter boat captain I know it works great)
Yes you can lock them in the truck. Recommend buying a farady bag or pouch on Amazon and storing it inside the pouch so you always can carry a spare key with you. But then again Ford also lets you start the truck with a saved back up passcode so up to you if you want the piece of mind knowing you have physical key.
