They stated that the Platinum will have a estimated range of 280 miles with the extended range battery. Guess those 22 in rims eats range.

Also, colors mentioned -- All 2022 F-150 Lightning models are available in these 9 exterior colors:

Agate Black Metallic
Antimatter Blue Metallic
Atlas Blue Metallic
Carbonized Gray Metallic
Iced Blue Silver Metallic
Iconic Silver Metallic
Oxford White
Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat
Stone Gray Metallic

The LARIAT and Platinum models are also available in Smoked Quartz Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and Star White Metallic Tri-coat.

The graphic in the dealer order manual floating around that shows XLT and PRO trims as not being available in 2022, but the live stream answer appears to confirm that all trims are available.

Interesting.

The usable capacity on the ER battery is equivalent to $68,000 worth of Tesla Powerwall cells.

Interesting, is an extra 30kWh worth $10k? Most homeowners won’t be able to use the 80A charger without running a 1.5” conduit to their garage /w #2 wire or something. Probably should put in a subpanel while you’re at it. Or if you have one, check the existing breaker rating since it’s probably only 60A.

I thought using 80a means that you need to put in an ATS before the main panel. Not sure how the sub panel will fit in that config.

You are free to use a lower amperage charger to charge the extended range battery at home. A 30kWh lithium Ion battery is worth $10k in the marketplace, so it's more about how you individually value the extra acceleration, longer driving distance, longer powering of loads (camper air conditioning anyone?), degradation impact mitigation, truck to truck charging if that is limited to ER, etc.

I'm not promoting the ER is right for you in particular, but consider this vehicle is more than a regular vehicle purchase for many. The ER enhances many aspects of the tool.

Also..did I miss something? I thought the ER battery was going to be around a $7000 upgrade..not $10k. If you factor ~$1000 for an 80A charger..that puts you at $6000. Totally worth it IMHO.

98kWh for 230 miles means 79 MPGe. Not possible
That'd be a better than I am expecting too. Doesn't seem to add up given how much bigger the F150 is than the Rivian. It'll be interesting to see how the EPA ratings come out. That'd be impressive if they are able to hit 300+ miles with a 131 kWh battery given the size of the F150.

Nope. Read that response again. That is a textbook non-answer to a straightforward question.

One can only assume they are avoiding the bad news that the Pro will be a 2023 model with the XLT in late 2022.

Good point - I think it is only a $10K adder on the Pro for those who would actually be able to buy that. $7K on XLT and Lariat. FREE for Platinum :)
