Next-generation Ford F-150 Lightning EREV set for Australian introduction

The third-party importer of the electric F-150 Lightning will continue with the next-gen EREV model.

The next-generation Ford F-150 Lightning Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) has been confirmed for Australia.

Just like the first-generation Lightning EV, the next F-150 Lightning won't be a Ford Australia conversion project, but rather imported, converted to right-hand drive, and distributed by AusEV.

The current distributor for the F-150 Lightning EV in Australia, Brisbane-based AusEV, has confirmed that it will continue to distribute the F-150 Lightning as it moves to its next-generation EREV powertrain.

The company is targeting a 2027 introduction for the new model.

My condolences to the Australians. Now you too can be fooled into getting a money pit of backwards tech. The current distributor should be looking into other OEM's that have a BEV offering, preferably from a country that has a stable export market.
