Any reason why a NOCO GENIUS1 (or similar maintainer) couldn't be plugged into a 120v outlet inside the cab and then direct the power into a 12v round receptacle? That way, the LVB will always be charging when the truck is on. Or am I wrong about that?

You’re not wrong but the problem is when truck is left off for a while. Noco charger would be charging battery always when truck is on, the hope is it would extend the battery off time since the hvb charging will wait till it drops to 50%. Of course truck being off won’t run the charger. Might be worth trying it out in my opinion. You could also add a solar maintainer which will work in good weather

And now that I'm thinking about it, the NOCO GENIUS 10 would be better in the scenario I described. A maintainer might not be adequate for people who don't use their truck as much.

Already tested this, if the inverter is on, it seems the DCDC is on, that being said I haven't tried ACC mode and pro power....

If the DCDC is on, not really a point to having the trickle on. It hits float charge at some point and cuts off charging due to low draw.

Edit: Using NOCO 10
