Sorry about this and good luck with the dealer.
0. I have had two different modules replaced now 2 years apart on my 2022. Low miles and few DC sessions.
1. Ford will likely only trust a Battery Health report as determined by them using FDRS.
2. Seems like dealer said about $6-7.5K.
3. I *think* they warrant parts for 1 year. But if it's a different module/array, you'll likely have to pay again. There are nine modules total.
On a side note. I’ve not seen someone start a list with 0 instead of a 1 before. 🤣🤣

Some of these shops need to develop a better outlook on customer service, @Ford Motor Company penalize them for turn aways and discouraging customer engagement at the service level, do not renew the franchise agreement below a certain QR rating, the ball is in their court and the aggressive customer centric shops will thrive while others die on the vine.
Those surveys the dealers send out about their service? Those actually have huge impacts on them. Leaving poor reviews is also very effective, just keep it impartial and factual

You don't get a survey request if you never got serviced. A lot of these folks are being put off by dealer service departments that don't want EV business...

If you run the customers off you don't have to deal with them, and they don't get serviced, and they don't get a survey request. Problem solved.

So it's likely more of a problem than Ford knows about because a lot of it isn't captured by survey responses.

That's when you leave a review

Maybe time for the franchise compliance analysts to conduct some secret shopper surveys, major restaurant and department stores do this often to find problems outside of surveys, start with target list of dealers with poor google reviews !

I missed my survey window, not sure I’d leave a negative review but they never did get my a loaner, answer my questions or concerns about the work they were doing, and it took a while.

So actually yeah maybe I should’ve.

I think it’s still a good idea to see a dealer. It is just barely out of warranty. The dealer may have a good relationship with Ford, at which point a diagnostic fee may seem trivial.

Keep us posted.

It's time to try something new and I have a Sierra EV sitting in my driveway.
Yeah, it's tough when the warranty expires on a big ticket item. When my wife's van transmission went, we also moved on.

Did you buy the Sierra and trade in the Lightning? Or just a test drive?

Would love to hear your thoughts comparing the two.
They're both great trucks.

The Ford drives more like a SUV/is more nimble than the GMC. It does make sense considering the 200kwh battery. It took me a little bit to get used to the GMC, but after a day or two, it drives awesome. The air suspension is a game changer for the kids making it easier to get into the truck.

I thought I would miss CarPlay, but the native Android system in the GMC is actually great. I don't miss CarPlay one bit. Some things do bother me about the GMC. $100k sticker price truck, however it doesn't have a power lift gate or proximity auto unlock? I mean, it's a small complaint, but shouldn't be a complaint. No PAAK on the GMC will take some getting used to, but not a big deal.

If Ford was still making the Lightning, I would have most likely bought another one as I have been driving F-150s for the last 12 years, however the GMC is just as good.

One reason folks like CarPlay/AA is it doesn’t have the subscription model for map updates. I’m somewhat indifferent but at least Ford gives a choice. Does GMC have a subscription after a period of time for their nav?

Thanks for continuing to report in!
