Best reverse light power tie in that’s not going to trigger “Tow Mode”

I want to add LED pod reverse lights, I don’t think I want to tie into my trailer connector because I use Blue Cruise a lot and if truck thinks I have a trailer it disables Blue Cruise.

I'm concerned about grabbing power from tail light wire for two reasons, first is how sensitive I feel the bcm may be to voltage/amperage of that line and second I don’t even know if it powers that line if tailgate is closed (I have a lariat that the tailgate blocks the taillight reverse light when closed and uses the light bar on tailgate for reverse lights.)

Any thoughts or advise?

I've seen a few add some additional backup lights without too much work and no problems I'm aware of - @LUXMAN - care to share? I looked for your posts, but didn't find it.

I got these installed on my '22 PRO. Easy install and plug into the trailer harness as a pass-through. They come on when I put it in reverse. No other control of them. They just come on and they are bright.

I don't know about any of the other issues because I don't use blue Cruz and I don't pull a trailer but these are LED lights so maybe you can look up and see how much they pull and decide if that's a lot for you

Same here, going on 2+ years now.
Plug n play, no issues with BC thinking I have a trailer attached.

Thanks for the info, I will look into tying into the back of the trailer plug. Having a light in the reciever hitch is a no go for me as part of why I want the light is to help connect trailer in the dark.
