I asked ChatGPT for a 2030 version of the Lightning and I got this. Interestingly, it seems to have put a fuel door on the back all on its own. Maybe it knows EREV is coming.

The new Nissan Leaf has two charge doors now…. comes standard with both J1772 and NACS. A first, and it gets rave reviews. 3rd time migt be the charm for them. Gotta hand it to Nissan for staying the course with the first mainstrem EV all these years.

Not a bad choice they simplified their electronic design to keep the AC and DC charging separate. From their own project management engineering that cut out cost of redesigning. Savings Nissan sorely needs.

In another 3 years, hopefully you can resurrect that dusty charger and get the new 2028, 500 mi, 15 min charge Lightning Strike EX.

Just my 2 cents. I don’t think you will like the power boost coming from a lightning. Shifting from electric to gas is annoying and cumbersome vs the lightning. And the lightning tows better …,,IMO.

I would rather get a super duty than an f150 ICE.

This is coming from someone who has had almost every ford truck known to man the past 7 years. F450- two different f350s F-250 -raptor - bronco - 22 lighting -24 lightning -26 f350 on order .
My next door neighbor had a power boost and once he drove my lighting he traded it in a month later for a lightning.

the lightning is hands down the best overall truck I’ve had. The most “capable” is probably the f-350 Temor I had.

can’t wait for the next generation lightning. Feel bad for ford. They had so much momentum out the gate with the lightning. Hoping they get back on track and get excited and invest in the new generation sooner then 2028
