comma can absolutely stop at stop signs and stoplight, depending on what fork you’re using and how you have it tuned or set up.

The fork I use actually has built-in dash cam, and built-in sentry mode now.

But I agree, the main benefit is that it is always being updated

Got a bit scared of it due to no tuning for Ford and being catered to GM and Kia.
You should send in that it works with Ford to add to their vehicle compatibility list.

They’re working on it now. It would probably go a lot faster with more ford data. He literally updates it weekly.

BlueCruise might nag me 30 times on a 15 minute drive on the highway to watch the road which makes me just not want to use it. Comma hasn’t chirped at me once so it’s already won me over.

Comma AI is great, but it’s not cheaper than blue cruise because the hardware on will fail in 2 years. Hopefully the Comma 4 is built better than their previous iterations.

But when it is working, the device and software is great. I have probably 25k miles with a comma installed, and I would bet 20k of that is with it engaged.

for what its worth i thought the install would suck but its pretty easy in practice. make sure your usb c isnt reversed (because this one has a side...) and for the cable going under the trim, the a pillar handle can be scary and i didnt find the explanation anywhere: just put some flat screw driver or anything in the hole below the handle and pull.. the handle should bend then just grab it. super easy once you know this.

I’m on year 2 of my 3x , was just transferred from my truck to wife’s Kia, no issues.

However I have no love for comma or their hardware/business practices.

fwiw - I feel the Comma 4 is overengineered as a product.

They probably have QA/QC issues here and there, but it doesn't seem rampant.

They are a hardware company that is basically dependent on car community’s to make their product successful but then push forced software requirements with little with little to no notice or discussion with developers.

Recently when they released the e-gpu geo refused to take any criticism and was quite nasty on Reddit, his comments have of course been deleted.

Using discord vs just having a dedicated forum is one of my biggest personal issues. I hate discord with a passion

The 4 just being a revision of the 3x with additional cooling and a smaller screen being the only change was a choice that

Thanks for that. I have never used Dischord, so they'd likely lose me there anyway.
