3. July 25th - Received Plates/Reg

6. August 1st - Received CVRP email stating 61 days to process from July 25th.
7. August 26 - CVRP Approved Email Received
8. August 31- DMV Lost HOV Application
9. September 6th- Mailed HOV Application

How much does it cost to get the HOV decal, and how long is it good for (life of car?)?

For reference, just did both for my ioniq 5 earlier this year:

Took ~5 months to get check for CVRP.

To ~2 months to get HOV stickers. Haven't put them on yet due to how ugly they are :p

Ordered the HOV stickers for a Tesla and it took them 6 weeks, but DMV cashed the check right away. I mailed the application on the 1st and DMV still haven't cashed check. I just don't like checks that go off to never-never land. I really don't understand how it's not a quick online process.

Agreed. When I had my Tesla I had to submit twice. The first check was lost, I sent that one without a certified mail attached. The second time I attached a certified mail and it was taken care of.

I haven't even applied for HOV stickers because of how ugly they are.

Carpool lanes are almost always just as slow as the rest of the freeways nowadays anyways...

This is a timely email…”Our team is sending you this message to confirm that your CVRP application is still in our queue and has not been forgotten. CVRP has received an unprecedented application volume in recent months. We are very excited about the significant increase, but unfortunately, processing times are longer than usual.”

I didn’t know we could apply for HOV stickers without permanent plates. On the application, do we just put temporary plate number?
