Sherwood park dealer called me last week and they are charging 20k dealer mark up. I Called Fort Sask and they are msrp.
Sherwood getting 9 allocations and I was #1 on the reservation list but I obviously passed on that. I’m not getting a truck this year but I left my name on the list for next year. Will be transferring reservation to Fort Sask. Not sure how many allocations if any are going to Fort Saskatchewan. They don’t mark up vehicles at all in these awful times but Sherwood has 15k on broncos and 5k on maverick. I won’t be dealing there ever.
Right now my reservation is at High River, only choose them as they were closer to home. If I knew purchase history counted I would have went to okotoks as I got my f-600 factory ordered from them about 6 months ago. Okotoks the finance lady put me in a tough situation that left a bad taste and was a reason behind trying high river. I plan on going in next week and asking about adm, if it's like Sheerwood I will transfer or wait.
A bit of oversight on Fords part to not have a lightning tour in Canada and also not to release pricing before having us commit to ordering. Never mind the 20k markup Sherwood Park tacked on.
Ford was hoping to encourage voters to talk their elected official into those rebates hence the tour down south. They don't have to beg the liberals or ndp for a rebate so why waste the advertising money
When I asked about ADM's a few months ago my dealer's rep said they would not be adding to the MSRP. They emailed me several days ago that the order process would be starting in early Jan and that I would hear from them to set an appointment. I am apparently 3rd on their list and they are slated for 13 allocations.
Oakridge Ford in London Ontario is charging $10,000 dealer premium on F150 Lightning. Oakridge Ford, London Ontario ADM = $10,000 CAD.
The "product specialist" gave me this line of B.S.:
"Based on extremely limited opportunity, the dealer premium is required. Among other things, it’s a premium to ensure yourself one of the very few Lightning units to arrive in 2022. Ford is building less than 2% of all reservations placed. I do however understand if you believe the $10,000 is prohibitive to you going forward. You’re essentially paying for privilege to be one of the first to own this truck, that will be worth excessive money on the secondary market."
The dealer here in Victoria stated $13k (I recall; it was on the phone) markup that would be applied throughout Canada. I said “No thanks” for this and a few other reasons. Will be looking at a 2.7L f150 (new or used) instead.
My dealer said no adm, but I didn't reserve early, so still waiting for the email. I might stop by this week to check in, see how busy I am. Like I said before if an adm is part of the deal I will walk or move my order. I am having a hard time justifying anything above an xlt er at the moment as well with what is the price increase to a lariat.
