I purchased a lightning one year ago and was promised a complementary home charger to be sent when it was produced, called the Ford charge station pro. I still haven’t received it yet.

I called the dealer and they gave me a Ford phone number which I called but knew nothing about the program.

Was anyone else offered and received a Ford CSP at no extra cost when they bought it? Any suggestions on who to call?

Did your '23 Pro come with an ER battery?

Prior to the Power Promise only ER trucks had the FCSP "included" in the purchase price.

Thanks, this lead me to find out I had bought it before the promotion officially started so I’m not eligible for this.
Consider this a "Blessing" there are better options on the market, research the Charging section of the forum for better EVSE's

I purchased a 2023 leftover XLT in July 2024. In November 2024 I decided to get the FCPS because of my TOU EV home circuit and the truck's enormous ER battery.

I checked with the Ford BEV Team and they verified the program for 2022 and 2023 ER trucks was still active (in Nov 2024). The dealer then sent me a QR code and I used it per the BEV Team's instructions to order, and got the FCPS, free, in 5 business days.

Were you "promised" by the salesman verbally, or do you have it in writing as part of the sales paperwork? Unfortunately, car salesmen can and do lie, misrepresent, or just plain make up stuff they think you want to hear -- if it isn't in writing, it wasn't actually promised to you.

Overall, here's the deal on Charge Station Pro and the Lightning:

If you bought a 2022 or 2023 model-year extended-range truck (but not an ER Pro), Ford owes you a Charge Station Pro. The 2022 and 2023 model-year extended-range trucks include a Ford Charge Station Pro as standard equipment per Ford's order guides. Even if you purchased a left-over 2023 later in 2024, the truck should still include the charge station. I've heard of a few folks who "fell through the cracks" during the transition, but Ford should make it right for these folks.

This changed for the 2024 model year as Ford did some cost-reduction on the Lightning lineup. The 2024 and 2025 model year trucks do not include a charge station as standard equipment. If you bought a 2024 model-year truck before October 2024, Ford does not owe you a Charge Station Pro. The dealership may owe you one, if you have it in writing that they are including it as part of your specific purchase agreement.

However, in October 2024 Ford started the "Power Promise" promotion for both the Lightning and Mach-E. The Power Promise includes a charge station and "standard" (60A single-structure residential) Qmerit installation. The exact charge station you get isn't a guaranteed part of the program -- Ford can change it at any time. My understanding is that they currently have a large inventory of Charge Station Pro units, so that's what they're supplying ... but if and when those run out, Ford may well start supplying a less-expensive unit.

If you bought after October 2024, check your paperwork: if you accepted the Power Promise, you're owed a charge station (though not necessarily a Charge Station Pro) and Qmerit installation. If you declined the Power Promise, you should have gotten a credit. I've heard of some dealerships being a little unclear on this, -- they build deals that include the credit, and slip the paperwork to decline the Power Promise into the big stack of things you sign in the finance office.

The Ford Charge Station Pro has been in-stock with Ford almost continuously since the Lightning was first produced. There may have been a brief period of time in early 2024 when they were on backorder as existing stock was transferred from SunRun to Ford as part of the transition to Qmerit, but in general if you were owed a Charge Station Pro you should have gotten it promptly after you bought the truck.

Yes -- I expect that the original poster has a '23 SR Pro and was verbally assured it would come with a charge station by the salesperson despite that not actually being the case.

I'd say try to do what 21st Century Truck did, and try to get the dealership get one ordered for you.
They might do it as a gesture of goodwill?

On the other hand, I see FCSP's brand new in the box for sale on eBay frequently - I got mine there for $600 with shipping and taxes back in Jan 2024 - recently they seem to be on sale for closer to $700 at best buy-now price.

BTW, what is left of the warranty will transfer if the previous owner calls the 1-800 number listed in the install manual.

On the other other hand, with a Pro and a SR battery you don't need the full 80A capability of the FCSP since you'd be limited to 48A max by the on-board circuitry. I have a 2023 Pro SR battery, but wanted to future-proof my EVSE capabilities so have the FCSP wired for the full 80A capability.

Hard to find a reliable 80A EVSE for less than $1,000 retail. But plenty of 40A-48A capable ones to choose from.
