Changed to Tremor 18" wheels

I found a set of Tremor take-offs close by in here in Texas. Picked them up one night and had them put on the next day. I appreciate the more aggressive tread for sure.

I think you’re the second person on here to put on Tremor 18” wheels. These are my favorite so far!

I still get 2.0-2.1 mi/kWh average. So no real change.

Update: 1.7 after the swap and a few hundred miles. So a 15% decrease.

No rubbing! They are practically the same as my stock 20s.

I’d think that’s more a function of the tire than the wheels, unless these are wider than stock.

I don’t like the Lightning Lariat wheels, but I wouldn’t risks removing them. I believe they were designed for efficiency. Plus I wouldn’t want to risk resale value.

Be aware that of all OEM wheels for other F150 models, only the 18" HDPP wheels are rated for the much higher weight of the Lightning. There are a number of aftermarket options though.

I have a 2019 STX and love the 20” dark pocket wheels on it. Is there any issue swapping those wheels on my new Lightning? Does the weight make a difference? I’ve seen mention of some wheels not rated for a Lightning.

I think the only real concern is the tire rating. The wheels should be fine.

Again, the only Ford wheels that will bolt up to a Lightning and are rated for the weight are the actual Lightning wheels and the 18" HDPP wheels. Are the other wheels stronger than their ratings? Probably. Is it unlikely you'll routinely load the truck heavily enough that it matters? Also for most owners probably so. But technically you're using components that aren't rated for the application.
