Does anyone know how safe it is with prolonged exposure to the elements overnight (give or take 8-10 hours) whether it’s rain or snow from an outdoor wall mount charger. I live in Michigan and am curious what people will do during winters who will also be parking their lightning outside overnight. I see products on Amazon for charger port covers but they are either magnetic or suction based. Due to the aluminum body not being magnetic and suction not occurring during cold/freezing temps both will not work. Anyone have any ideas to help keep an active charging port safe from the elements or am I being too cautious?

You plug it in, end of story. Don't overthink it.

We don't have a garage and charged our Mach-e all through last year's upstate NY winter. Plan to do the same with the Lightning.
