Good morning. I'm currently using the 32a charger as I'm upgrading my service to 200. Besides the problems with cabinet heat being sporadic and yesterday not charging at all to today charging to 100 percent without me making it.( all other days in the past 2 weeks have charged to 90% without issue)

Today I looked at my energy monitor and the wattage is bouncing between 4000ish and 7000ish most of the night.. its nothing else in the house. It's for sure the charger. Does anyone else have same issue once in a while? I'm wondering if this is why it charged to 100% today too. Most other days is rock solid 7300 to 8000 ish watts without Flux.

My truck was doing that with my Emporia charger. I contacted them and they put it in a remote diagnostic mode because I thought there was something wrong with the charger. They told me it was the truck that determines the charge current and that the charger was working fine. About that time I got my FCSP and It hasn't happened again. Yet.

Ford's mobile charger is fraught with issues according to the MME forum.

Try putting a fan to blow cool air on it.

Also, make sure your 14-50 outlet has secure connections to your breaker.

Regarding the charging to 100: did you get an OTA update? Mine charged to 100 the night I got the update, but then corrected itself.

The FMC will throttle power when it detects an overheat condition, either internally or in the 14-50 plug. When it does this, it will display an amber light. More info in the manual.

Failure to adhere to charging schedules or limits is a truck issue, not FMC. Usually happens when the truck fails to recognize its location.

You know what.. somehow my setting reverted to charge when plugged in on the Ap.... I know for sure I didn't do this. Somehow the ap changed on its own.

FordPass is flaky. I always make charge settings in the vehicle to avoid FordPass issues.
