Well, my lightning is going in to the shop in the morning as it will not charge.
As Dr. Seuss would say:
Will not charge with FCSP
Will not charge with DCFC
Will not charge with FMC
Will not charge with anything for me.
😤😭

I had an issue a while back where my Lightning
wouldn't charge at a Level 2 that I had previously
used. Just for grins, I put a Tesla adapter on the Level 2, then my Tesla tap, then plugged into the truck. THIS worked. I contacted FordPass they
had no idea. My dealership had no idea. The next time I brought it in to have them update the
software, everything worked fine again.
I have had virtually zero issues other than ota not
doing what it is supposed to

Update to my truck not charging, received this message via text from my service advisor:

“Mr. ……….., Your concerns have been caused by a little furry creature that has made your "frunk" a nest. It has chewed on wiring on the back drivers side. Attached is what the technician can see. The wiring harness chewed on is on the right far back side of the "frunk". “

He sent some pics as well when they removed the frunk:

I think this might be the top of the front motor?
looks like a great place to build a nest and keep warm🤬🤬🤬

Dang critters!

My 2001 Ford Ranger XLT had the plastic tubes and the top of the fuel pump chewed up by a critter when the truck sat in the street long periods of time during the COVID lock-down...cost me about $1000 to repair, ugh!

After that I started spraying CritterRidder up under there to deter the rodent, seemed to work.

Was the truck covered with a "Chomper to Chomper" warranty by any chance?

This is what really confuses me! I drive this truck every single day. I have heard of that happening with vehicles that sit for a long time, but not with vehicles that are driven daily? I have lived in this house for 21 years and had many vehicles parked in the same place and never had a problem. Maybe critters just like Ev’s better or something. Researching something to solve the problem.

I'm going to spray mint oils under the Frunk and cargo bed, our motors & inverters would be comfortable nesting beds for critters this time of year.

The squirrels around here love to chew on plastic, garbage can lids, holiday strings of lights, security camera wires, outdoor cushions, anything plastic...the chew it up and use it to line their nests.

It really surprised me that they went after my gas lines.

I kept getting a gas cap warning on my Ranger dash, the OBD code was air leak in some line somewhere, and the Ford Dealership would not even look at it without doing a $95 code test!

I smelled gasoline but could never find where it was coming form. So I took it to the local gas station mechanic. He dropped the gas tank and there it was, chewed up plastic fittings and lines on the top of the gas tank where the fuel pump is. Could not easily see it without dropping the tank.

After reading your post I'm thinking I better spray critter ridder under my Lightning.

This is the damaged fuel pump

And this is what should happen to the squirrel who did the chewing:

Now I feel lucky that my Ranger's critter problem was just a nest built in the air filter housing -- a hassle to clean up, but not expensive. Except that since this is California, the nest was registered as a studio and renting for $2500 per month.

There are lots of rodents living in our area, so thanks to those of you who have posted suggestions for repelling them from our trucks, and more ideas from anyone with experience will be appreciated. Bummer that keeping ferrets as pets isn't legal here; a mustelid vehicle inspection service would be terrific.
