Certain 2022-2023 Model Year F150 Lightning Equipped with Intelligent Backup Power Feature

Total of only 23 trucks involved in this program.

Update the Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM), Gateway Module (GWM), and Telematics Control Unit (TCU) Software

See attachments, check to see if your truck is included, schedule the update with your dealer service.

This would also serve to 'catch up' your truck's three core modules (GWM, APIM, TCU) to the latest updates available for free even if you don't use your truck for backup power events.

I might do it just for the module updates. I wonder if I would notice anything different.

I guess it would be better to wait until next year right before this CSP expires so I would get any more module updates released between now and then.

Edit: Just skimmed through - and it's not that mine doesn't work, it's that it doesn't always work when the truck is *asleep* - Which I think is the same issue @Jim Lewis has.

If the software is available there’s no reason you can’t do it yourself. But it’s free…so why would you if somebody else is footing the bill?

You have a MY 2024 and not a 2023, If it build in Dec 2023. Your software is already on the latest version.

I wonder if we provided our VINs to @rugedraw, whether he could check through PTS if @Aminorjourney and I already have the updates and just need the Software Verification Approval Code, or instead are missing some parts of the update.

Since I have a 4,000-mile trip coming up in the next few months and don't want my truck baking in the Texas summer sun in a dealer's lot, I'll be waiting for a cooler time of year before doing anything about this.

No CSP notice has shown up in the Ford app yet. Since this CSP affects only a small minority of Lightning owners, perhaps they don't have sufficient data to selectively notify HIS owners through the Ford app?

Unfortunately, I am no longer able to see what modules have pending updates in PTS or FDRS anymore. There are still things I can see in PTS, but pending updates is not one of them. All I can see is what is in queue in the OTA dashboard.

Interesting that it only shows 23 vehicles affected even with the wide date ranges. I have a ‘23 that was built on 10/22/22 which puts it in the one month gap in the affected dates. I need to schedule my light bar and park pawl recall next week so I’ll have them check this one to be sure.

Well that’d be news to me. Can confirm it’s a MY 2023 and was built in 12/23

I think so. The VIN should also show if the campaign applies to the vehicle without going into the FSA list.
