Dealer refuses to sell the Lightning to the person who ordered. Marks it up by $50k and puts it on the lot.

I have heard from others who bought vehicles from Sunrise Ford and they did have to deal with added dealer junk too.

And they apparently prey on the sub prime borrowers.

It's probably happening with Broncos as well, but I don't follow those forums.

It's bad enough when dealers add on extra markup at the last minute, but they are sinking to a new low now by not even notifying people when their vehicles arrive and then selling them to someone else for huge markups.

It's ridiculous. I hope Ford sticks to their plan and withholds allocations to these dealerships.

I am guessing everybody else complied and they figured this guy would be an easy mark as well. The sooner Ford spins off and sells direct, the better.

Yes there are people here who would defend their dealer to death but if this is what people are subjected to elsewhere, it’s not worth it.

I acknowledged the OP's experience and mentioned that some dealers are now selling preordered vehicles to other buyers without even notifying the original person who placed the order.

Agree - can't believe dealers sink this low.

Although for awhile I thought my no ADM dealer was hinting at not selling me the car by aggravating me.

I am glad I got the Lightning at the end, albeit a soured experience...

Just bad dealer policy. I had to navigate a bad dealer, hidden mark ups, flat out telling me they don’t want me to buy the truck. But I bought it.

I have a 788 credit score, got the same runaround. Hardly a subprime target.

Just this morning I was looking at cars.com and was scratching my head on how Sunrise Ford had so many F150 Lightnings for sale, now I know. I suspect all preorders were taken over by the dealer with these tactics. This morning they had 5 Lightnings for sale. Such garbage.
