After leasing this truck about almost two years some of the default settings on both the Pro Power feature and the charging power system would be much better if you could turn them off manually; or change them. For example, I have an electric portable refrigerator. I know I have to go to the Pro-Power section then press the button that says *stay on when truck is turned off*. That seems to work but it seems like so many things can change that. It can be ON using the power outlet in the front when I go into the store, then when I come back it's off. I've tried it several times. I know once I had to go back and unlock the truck and get in then leave and lock it again. It doesn't seem like that should take that set position of "*stay on* to turn off after 30 seconds or whatever. I guess you have to check the screen every time you even come close to the truck in case something changed and the pro power to the cab went off.

I believe I figured out that the cab pro power setting doesn't work for the outlet in the back. The AC one. If you read the directions closely it doesn't really say you're leaving the power on to all the outlets; just the front ones. So my fridge has a DC plug and an AC plug. I think I've tried it about half dozen times and it's always off when I come back after about 30 min. or so. What am I doing wrong? I know the power limit - another default thing that has to be constantly changed (it won't save the last setting) - is set high enough; plenty of battery. Actually, I guess that default does get saved.. I think.

Also, with all the talk about not charging to 100% all the time, why does the manufacture make the default AC charging limit 100% unless you make a one time limit. Seems like it should save the last limit you put in.

Anyway, don't get me wrong. I love this truck and if I could finance it I think I would buy it. Already bought a tonneau cover for it and some other things.

The issue with PPOB is that there is a low power draw shut off when using it with the truck off. What that means is that if you don't draw enough power at least about every 6 minutes, PPOB shuts off. The issue with a fridge is that once it's cold, it cycles on and off. The off is normally long enough that it kills PPOB. It's annoying, but apparently an intentional design - not a flaw so don't expect it to get fixed.

The work around that many of us have used it to add a 100 watt heater and a short interval timer. I have mine set to 1 second on and 210 seconds off. In other words, the heater is on for under 0.5% of the time so the power drain is almost nothing and the heater is not on long enough to even get warm. That keeps PPOB running even with no other load. If desired, I can post Amazon links to the timer and heater I use.

As for the default charge, look at it from the other direction. If it defaults to something lower, people are going to end up with less than expected charge and get stuck. Less desirable than potential life of the battery change. Charging to 100% now and then is not really an issue - especially if you don't leave it at that charge for long periods (particularly when it's HOT).

Can you please post the Amazon links

Thanks for the reply and the explanation. I didn't know or was ignorant of the low power draw shut off. That's probably what's been driving me nuts.

Does that show up on the app. I ask because if I have the Flash parked out in my garage - about 60 ft. - it won't reliably connect to the Ford app. I also don't get even one bar of a cell tower signal here. Have to rely on wifi calling. I know my EV6 doesn't work for commands or Kia status or updates if relying on the wifi from my Access Point in the garage. So it's blue tooth or nothing.

Yeah, the default settings wouldn't be so inconvenient if it weren't for the slow software. Also it's a couple of menus down to get to the Vehicle settings.
