We're taking a trip to high desert. Not quite off grid.
But no cell service ie cant use phones, google drive and maps etc.
Should have GPS signal of course, but will trucks Nav system still work?
For example does it have a local copy of US maps stored onboard?
Or is dependent on some other type of wireless network connectivity?
So far it has been awesome, on par with google.
My Mazda navigation sucked, particularly in remote areas, so I gave up using it.
Google maps has remote roads/trails like US forest service, fire roads, etc.
We shall see. I'll report back...if I don't get completely lost...lol
Ps anyone know if these OEM Hankooks can handle desert sand? Doubt it, but I'll find that out too.
